I’m downsizing my cornet collection and decided to let go of my 1953 Reynolds cornet with a serial number of 32291. It contains scratches, dings, and finish wear consistent with a pre owned instrument. All braces are tight and secure. The valve compression is very good and the valves themselves show no plating loss. It comes in a 1933 period hard case and a Bach 3C mouthpiece. I’m uncertain if this case is original. The case functions well though it shows heavy wear, but there are no bad smells. Even the springs on the latches work as they should. Vintage Trumpet KZRA 1960. Cold War Artifact (Kiev, Ukrainian SSR). A rare example produced by the Kyiv Radio Apparatus Plant (KZRA), Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic. Manufactured in 1960 during the period of strict Soviet military acceptance and high-quality metalworking. Later the plant became the legendary “Mayak” factory. The trumpet features a unique hand-engraved marking “OGP-4″ (??? -4). This indicates its service history with the 4th Separate Guards Regiment. This is a genuine piece of Soviet military history that served in an elite military band during the Cold War era. Kyiv Radio Apparatus Plant (KZRA), Ukrainian SSR. Rotary Valves (German-style system). Original military hard case (professionally cleaned and prepared). 2 original mouthpieces included. Excellent preservation for a 66-year-old instrument. The rotary valves move freely. The instrument features a beautiful original patina and authentic traces of time, including minor micro-dents and historical solder marks typical for an instrument of this age. The high-quality nickel silver components of the valve mechanism remain sturdy and functional. We recommend professional servicing (Clean, Lubricate, Adjust – CLA) by a qualified brass instrument repair master for optimal musical performance, as is standard for vintage rotary instruments.
