Welcome to Ashantee Music! Matching Exceptional Students With Quality Instruments. One of the least expensive professional trumpets we are offering for sale. This is a Bach Stradivarius 180S37 Bb trumpet in silver-Bach’s all-around workhorse designed to do pretty much everything well. It is in very good condition. Cosmetically, the plating is about 95% with small bits of wear starting here and there, and scattered, small dings and scratches left over from past dent removal throughout, but no major dents remaining. As you can see in the photos, it shines up to a pretty good-looking horn. Unlike most of the used Strads you might be looking at, this one is just through the shop where it was chem cleaned, lubed, polished, and had all new valve felts, stop-rod bumper and nuts, tuning slide O-rings, and water key cork installed. It is completely ready to play. Valves are smooth and quiet, compression is very good, and all tuning slides are free including the 3. Note that this horn is oiled with SYNTHETIC valve oil (specifically, Hetman #3 Classic Piston oil,) and that you must use a similar synthetic oil or thoroughly clean the pistons and casings prior to switching to a petroleum-based product. Includes Bach 7C and Bach 5C mouthpieces. The original hard case with external cosmetic wear is available if you prefer, but we’ve put this in a brand-new Reunion Blues RBX case with backpack straps-rigid and lightweight, perfect for the bus and the band room. PLEASE READ LISTING IN FULL / SEE ALL PHOTOS. Please note this horn has had repairs, has a dent wrinkle in the bell and bell rounded brace has been soldered / repaired in the past, to bell braces may have been resoldered and leadpipe may have had dents / dings removed as I see wear there. Brass appears to be healthy though. Horn could use internal cleaning but is ready to play upon receipt. The great news is that Valves are very good with great compression and all slides are coming out. The bell wrinkle is not really a big job for a repairman but horn can be played as it is now. It’s been play tested and the wrinkle does not appear to affect the tone. It is a very good vintage quality HN White King era Cleveland Ohio Liberty horn and it will last. I personally like horns with age wear. If you do as well than this maybe a great horn for you? ! Lacquer appear to be original as engraving is crisp and easy to read. Appears to be a medium bore horn but plays open with great tone. Very good horn for jazz playing and with the vintage vibe. No case or mouthpiece included. This listing is for a 1973 Selmer Signet Special Bb trumpet that is in EXCELLENT CONDITION other than for some areas of slight plating wear (typical of used trumpets) and insignificant tiny scratches and dings which are merely aesthetic and only noticeable when looking very closely (see photos). This trumpet looks and sounds AMAZING! It was designed by Vincent Bach, who designed the most popular professional orchestral trumpets of all time. The trumpet finish is a beautiful dark nickel that looks really cool (see photos). Nickel plating is absolutely the best way to go, especially with a student trumpet, as it is very durable (more so than soft lacquer), doesn’t tarnish (unlike silver plating), and it is pretty much maintenance free (just wipe it off with a soft cloth and you’re good to go)! This student trumpet is perfect for students of all ages. With back-to-school underway, this is your opportunity to get a great student trumpet at a great price! Proper care and maintenance include applying valve oil and slide grease on a regular basis. I recommend using valve oil before every use for optimal performance and longevity. I personally tested and cleaned this instrument. I hereby certify that it is fully functional with exceptional performability.
