1931/1932 The Buescher Elkhart Indiana Model 2 True Tone Low Pitch B flat (short throw pistons / streamline wrap) Raw Brass Trumpet serial no. 260515 with Original Case & what to me looks like a custom Conn style V cup Trumpet mouthpiece that works well on this horn; produces a cool smokey sound with good tone quality (only marking is 0 on the shank). Buescher BU-7 Trumpet by Carol Brass with Nice Buescher Case and 7C Mouthpiece Bore. 460 – Serial# 38. These are very nice Beuscher builds by Carol Brass. Horn is in excellent condition overall only with 98% lacquer showing only light blemishes. Valves are smooth with excellent compression, 3rd slide is buttah smooth, all the slides and caps work nicely. The case is in excellent condition and the horn comes with a lyre and a 7C mouthpiece. UpYourBrass shop policies are to offer only inspected, repaired, thoroughly cleaned, detailed horns. Horn is dis-assembled and inspected, soaked in an organic de-greasing solution and scrubbed. Body, valves and components are treated in an organic chem clean with Tesch products (Tesch is recommended by NAPBIRT). Hand-lapped valves and chambers (This process can take up to an hour). Complete detail of all components, hot water scrubbed and prepped for assembly. Valves aligned, pads and springs replaced as needed. Play tested and final inspected before listing for sale. UpYourBrass shop policies are to offer only thoroughly cleaned and detailed horns. All horns are tested as-is when received, then de-greased and all small components are detailed. Horns are then chem-cleaned and all solder and dent work is completed as needed and slides are detailed. Instruments are assembled and inspected, valves aligned, water-key corks, springs and valve felts are replaced as needed. UpYourBrass instruments all go through my personal final inspection, and are also photographed by me so no back of the house guys telling the front of the house it’s ready. Refurbished horns should be cleaned in a warm water bath with mild detergent after at least one month’s time and preferably after your first full practice session, don’t forget, to never mix oils, many are different and mixing them can lead to dirt buildup and sluggish valves. I highly recommend the use of spitballs regularly to clean any residual debris from your refurbished vintage instrument, remember vintage horns have sometimes been sitting for a very long time, you as an instrument owner should clean your instrument regularly and have a chem-clean or ultrasonic clean done every two years. Vintage cases are all disinfected, cleaned and sanitized but there may be a residual horn smell in any old case. UpYourBrass Policies (please read). Buescher Model 207 Aristocrat Trumpet 1950 – Refurbished – Case & Bach 7C MP Bore. Cool 207 Model that’s got 50% of it’s original lacquer. Lead-pipe has been off before I received it, bell completed work throughout the bell taper and tail. Valves feel nice and have good compression, slides are all smooth, 3rd slide feels great, caps thread easily. Original case is loosing it’s exterior trim, case is solid overall and the horn comes with a Bach 7C mouthpiece. This is a beautiful and great sounding vintage professional Buescher 400 Tenor saxophone. They don’t make them this grand anymore. The keys all work and the sax plays well. A case is included. The case has wear, but it still protects the saxophone well. The latches and hinges work fine. It’s a really gorgeous sax with original lacquer. The lacquer is rubbed off in certain areas from normal playing (see detailed pictures), but the saxophone still looks and plays beautifully. I hate to part with this wonderful horn, but I just don’t play it much anymore. It’s time for someone else to enjoy this great musical instrument. Serial number 436513; year of manufacture: 1965. This tenor sax has the potential to be a hidden gem with some TLC. Most of the keys move freely and the snap in pads are in poor to fair condition(should be professionally cleaned, new pads/corks installed to be playable and adjusted for optimal performance). This tenor saxophone has the raised Buescher 400 logo, elaborate Top Hat and Cane bell engraving, a bell tone ring and an under-slung octave key on the neck. There are no major dents present and the minor body/neck dents pictured can be removed during the pro repad/overhaul. This tenor saxophone has scratches throughout and minor lacquer wear from normal use, with approximately 90% of lacquer intact(may not be not original). Included is a somewhat used, worn and musty smelling Buescher wood shell tenor saxophone case(all latches function as intended, case interior is intact, exterior has scuffs and wear, both handles are usable).
