This Reynolds Medalist # 230346 trumpet has been put in good playing condition in our shop. Sonically cleaned, major dents removed, new felts, corks replaced. Comes with Original Case, 7c mouthpiece, straight mute, cleaning supplies, oil and grease. The Reynolds Medalist trumpet is a vintage student-model Bb trumpet. These durable instruments were manufactured by the F. At their plant in Abilene, Texas, between the mid-1960s and 1970. Production: Following Chicago Musical Instrument Co. S (CMI) acquisition of Reynolds, trumpet production was relocated to a new, specialized facility in Abilene, Texas, in August 1965. Model: The Medalist line (often labeled as model TU-58) was highly regarded for school band use, featuring solid nickel bracing and nickel silver on the slides. Designed for young musicians to serve them faithfully throughout their school years, the Medalist trumpet is the outstanding value in the Reynolds line. Easy-action valves with hard nickel plating and enclosed top action springs. Medalist instruments with serial numbers above 200000 (after the 1964 sale of Reynolds to CMI) are different instruments altogether. These were significantly higher quality instruments than the earlier models, now produced on the Olds manufacturing lines in Fullerton, California (while being stamped “Abilene, Texas” to keep the Reynolds line separate from Olds). They have much in common with the Olds Ambassador line, while retaining a few unique details.

VINTAGE KING MASTER MODEL CORNET – H. Serial # 309, xxx. Lots of miles on this one – dents and dings and cosmetic wear. But it plays like a vintage King! Body is solid, no structural issues. All slides are moving. Original King “MC” mouthpiece is in very good condition (though needs cleaning and polishing). Classic King vintage case is in quite good shape (and it is not musty).
