This listing is for a 1973 Selmer Signet Special Bb trumpet that is in EXCELLENT CONDITION other than for some areas of slight plating wear (typical of used trumpets) and insignificant tiny scratches and dings which are merely aesthetic and only noticeable when looking very closely (see photos). This trumpet looks and sounds AMAZING! It was designed by Vincent Bach, who designed the most popular professional orchestral trumpets of all time. The trumpet finish is a beautiful dark nickel that looks really cool (see photos). Nickel plating is absolutely the best way to go, especially with a student trumpet, as it is very durable (more so than soft lacquer), doesn’t tarnish (unlike silver plating), and it is pretty much maintenance free (just wipe it off with a soft cloth and you’re good to go)! This student trumpet is perfect for students of all ages. With back-to-school underway, this is your opportunity to get a great student trumpet at a great price! Proper care and maintenance include applying valve oil and slide grease on a regular basis. I recommend using valve oil before every use for optimal performance and longevity. I personally tested and cleaned this instrument. I hereby certify that it is fully functional with exceptional performability.
