Holton Stratodyne Trumpet 1963 Extremely Rare Oversized Case and Holton MP

Holton Stratodyne Trumpet 1963 – Extremely Rare – Oversized Case and Holton MP Bore. 456 – Serial# 361 I’ve always been a big fan of vintage Holton pro model horns and love the Model 48’s. This Stratodyne is very unique and my new favorite horn, what a great playing Holton. Compression is very good, 1st slide lever is smooth, 3rd is smooth and is missing the small trim component on the upper slide. Mostly raw brass finish, bell engraving is very cool with the artwork continuing on to the bell rim. Horn has scratches and light pitting throughout, bell flair required dent work and minor dent removal was done throughout. Oversized case is solid with good latches and hinges and horn comes with a vintage Holton mouthpiece. UpYourBrass shop policies are to offer only inspected, repaired, thoroughly cleaned, detailed horns. Horn is dis-assembled and inspected, soaked in an organic de-greasing solution and scrubbed. Body, valves and components are treated in an organic chem clean with Tesch products (Tesch is recommended by NAPBIRT). Hand-lapped valves and chambers (This process can take up to an hour). Complete detail of all components, hot water scrubbed and prepped for assembly. Valves aligned, pads and springs replaced as needed. Play tested and final inspected before listing for sale. Clean your instrument regularly (especially lead-pipe and tuning slide) and have a chem-clean or ultrasonic clean done every two years. Vintage cases are all disinfected, cleaned and sanitized but there may be a residual horn smell in any old case. UpYourBrass Policies (please read). 1939 Martin Handcraft Standard Bb Trumpet Rare. The finish is excellent besides near the mouthpiece receiver. This is a beautiful, early Martin with a superb tone! The valves have good compression. To be considered a top example, The valves will need a refit, plating. The slides are tight. Medium sprung, nice action. Martin style case in gc included! This is a rare reverse lead pipe Martin very similar to the Committee. Some prefer these because of intonation and ease of play. He said it was in excellent condition. Valves had great compression! It will need Pads, cork. This trumpet was thoroughly gone through, but I suggest an hour or so of shop time. Rare Vintage C. G. CONN (Elkhart) model 6B Trumpet, orig, no dents, 100% org silv

Wichita Band Instrument Company, Inc. Superb & extra-clean semi-pro trumpet from C. Conn, made in Elkhart (not Texas) in 1969. Model “6B”, in production for only a few years, late sixties / early seventies. NO dents or dings, 100% original bright silver plate, perfect and original pistons, showing NO wear to the nickel-plated valves. Case IS original, but has a small repair. It’s a rare Bb trumpet, worth more if all components are original. Perfect for a high school player or an enthusiastic adult amateur. Wichita Band Instrument Company is a small musical instrument emporium located in the center of the USA. The owners are Kansas natives Gary L. Ray and his two sons. Founded by a woodwind repair technician in 1953, we soon will commence our seventy-first year in business. 1938 Selmer Paris 22 Trumpet Artist Quality MB LP Light Weight Bell Rare. Here is a nice old Selmer Paris trumpet marked on the mouthpiece receiver BB MB LP 22. Horn also has the hard to find Qualite Artistique stamp on the bell, which designates it as being made with a lighter weight bell and the larger sized medium bore which I read was. 458, I haven’t measured it. I got this horn from the descendants of the original owner, their daughter, who is now 50 years old played it in school, it was originally the lady’s father who owned it. Anyway the horn looks good for its age. It needs the bell to be straightened up a little, it is a lighter weight brass and has been flattened a little along edges, it also doesn’t have the heavy reinforcement around the bell edge you typically see on a Selmer. Horn plays really well, has good dark tone and a real jazzy intonation. Qualite Artistique stamped horns have a reputation for being committee like in their tone and intonation. Bell measures approx 4 5/8 across. Valves all have good compression and pop etc, I noticed they had some discoloration and wear but horn plays well. I would guess it could use a good cleaning etc, but overall it’s a very nice horn that plays very well. Also comes with original bill of sale from 1939 and Selmer lyre. GREAT VINTAGE DESIRED AND COMPARABLE TO MARTIN COMMITTEE MADE DURING SAME ERA AS MARTINS. THIS RARE DEAL is for Buescher the RARE ORIGINAL 400 LP TRUE TONE Bb trumpet! These horns are overall rare and hard to find. Description : The 400 BUESCHER great jazz horn made in the great golden era of Elkhart Ind horn plants circa 1940s/50s please check online records and sites if you wish exact date manufacture. Serial #332xxx Appears to be original lacquer with very crisp name and bell engraving. There is some wear in contact points around the horn and scratches from age but overall it’s in very good condition and mechanically perfect ready to play. PLEASE SEE ALL PICS! These horns were made from great brass. Overall lacquer is very good and it’s all original factory horn, please see photos for the full story but please disregard white spots as these come from my day time window. 2nd slide has reversed construction as 1st and 3rd slides innovative for this period.
