Vintage Conn Trumpet Victor PLAYS WELL! Elkhart 1930s Opera Glass Tuning Patina. Playing – This is good playing horn. Tuning slides and valves move well. Valve compression is very good for it’s age. Serial Number – SN 292219, I think, placing it’s manufactor in 1933. The Serial number is almost worn off and is very hard to read. Overall it looks good with a dark patina. The bell engraving is almost worn off. Someone has engraved their name and number on the bell. Evidence of previous repair and modification. Serviced – Horn has been completely serviced including chemical cleaning, hand-washing, and ultrasonic clearning. Springs, felts and corks have been replaced as needed. Play tested to ensure playability. Case – Includes a modern case in good condition. Mouthpiece – Includes an Olds 3C mouthpiece in good condition. It has some tool marks. This is a vintage horn. Vintage horns can be wonderful to play but are not new. They do not always function like a modern horn with a character all their own. They are not suitable for beginners. Experence: I’ve been playing brass instruments for 40+ years and love helping others in their musical journey. Check out my other items. New items added daily.
