Olds Ambassador Cornet from 1943 is a vintage musical instrument with a brass bell material and a brass finish. Made in the United States by F. Olds, this cornet is serial number 117538 and is still in playable condition. This rare find is a classic piece for collectors and musicians looking for unique and historical brass instruments.
Used Conn 23B – Bb Trumpet (with hard case and Vincent Bach 7C mouthpiece). Ideal for a very high level student, or a professional needing a Bb trumpet as a secondary horn. Fantastic Condition: very minor denting and scratching, but nothing obvious from more than a few feet away. There is some wear on the main tuning slide, which is shown in the images. However, this trumpet is clearly well maintained, plays like-new, and looks absolutely beautiful. Trumpet and mouthpiece are cleaned, slides are greased. Valve oil is included, with instructions on how to oil the valves.
This Holton T602R trumpet has just been serviced by New York’s top woodwind tech Emile Catricala and plays perfectly through the entire range. Valves are in great condition and move smoothly. For an advancing player to succeed on trumpet they need a free blowing instrument with excellent compression, and this one fits the bill perfectly. There are some small cosmetic imperfections (see pictures) but nothing that affects tone or playability.
Vintage Conn Trumpet Victor PLAYS WELL! Elkhart 1930s Opera Glass Tuning Patina. Playing – This is good playing horn. Tuning slides and valves move well. Valve compression is very good for it’s age. Serial Number – SN 292219, I think, placing it’s manufactor in 1933. The Serial number is almost worn off and is very hard to read. Overall it looks good with a dark patina. The bell engraving is almost worn off. Someone has engraved their name and number on the bell. Evidence of previous repair and modification. Serviced – Horn has been completely serviced including chemical cleaning, hand-washing, and ultrasonic clearning. Springs, felts and corks have been replaced as needed. Play tested to ensure playability. Case – Includes a modern case in good condition. Mouthpiece – Includes an Olds 3C mouthpiece in good condition. It has some tool marks. This is a vintage horn. Vintage horns can be wonderful to play but are not new. They do not always function like a modern horn with a character all their own. They are not suitable for beginners. Springs, felts and corks have been replaced as needed. Play tested to ensure playability. Case – Includes the original Conn case in good used condition. Mouthpiece – Includes a 7C mouthpiece in good condition. This is the correct mouthpiece for a beginner.
