GETZEN ETERNA Severinsen Model gold Trumpet. I feel that it is still in working order as an instrument, but it is not clean looking. I have the impression that Severinsen himself is not so well known in Japan, but he is my favorite trumpeter. Please search for “doc severinsen” on YouTube, etc. I heard that Severinsen was on the board of Getzen for a while, and used Getzen trumpets for a while. 0The piece in this listing is very rare, with gory engravings in gold plate. The condition is not so good, but the previous owner, a professional, used it for work, so it is a working piece. The sound has a “brisk” presence, as if it were a solo instrument (in my opinion). How about a rare Severinsen model for this opportunity? The condition of this item is as follows. The serial number indicates that it was made in 1972-3. The gold plate is unfortunately faded. There are some patches on the lead pipe and the second feeler. There are some solder marks on the 3rd fingerboard, which seems to have been removed after the stopper and fixed finger rest were installed. (The Severinsen model originally had a movable finger rest and plastic stopper) (Unfortunately, there is no plastic stopper). There is no original case. There are some scratches and rust. It is not a beautiful piece. The previous owner commented that he felt the lead pipe side of the main tuning was too short. It may have been cut off in order to adjust the blowing feel. I do not feel any problem at all in the blowing feeling. ZWe have done a simple cleaning and lubrication on the occasion of this sale. International Buyers – Please Note. A fantastic sounding Getzen ARTIST MODEL SUPER DELUXE TRUMPET Nickle Silver/Copper/Brass with STERLING SILVER BELL. Valves and slides all move freely as they should. It comes with a wonderful vintage Case with purple velvet interior still solid and good enough to protect the instrument. This horn is Beautiful and rare. Getzen 770SP Select trumpet in used condition. Silver finish with original Getzen case and Getzen 7C mouthpiece. Also included is Vincent Bach 3C Mouthpiece, and Ideal 7C Mouthpiece in an extra cade. Original care and maintenance manual from Getzen included. Minor dent/ding on trumpet. Plays in great condition.

A Getzen Eterna D trumpet in excellent condition. Serial # SK31866 – from the late 70s. Silver plating is in very good shape, with some minor spotting and a few blemishes on the 2nd valve. 1st slide trigger and 3rd slide both smooth. Valves are quick and free. Amado waterkeys fully functional. No case or mouthpiece. Here’s an opportunity to get a nice D trumpet at a bargain price. It’ a great horn, I simply have no need of a D trumpet.

Note- the valves will not move and I will leave it to the new owner to lubricate, etc. With their own preferred method. There is a small ding close to the pinky ring as seen in photo #7, approx. 1/2 end to end. Anything else I would call less than average vintage wear.

Most likely you will find your answer in the description. Listing today for sale great player GETZEN SUPER DELUXE Bb TRUMPET with copper accents and believe leadpipe also to be a copper nature. Whole horn is a very unique Getzen design with unique bracings etc… This is earlier Getzen design serial #68xxx. This horn was in my possession for the past few years but it was sleeping in the case most of its time. I used to play test and compare lots of horns together. A couple of days ago test driven it at home and this horn plays awesome and is very handy to hold. It also could be the large bore as slides look pretty large but my caliper battery is out. It’s a great jazz horn and should do in lead work as well. Horn has wear and tear and scratches appears to have had bell repair long ago which left few lines see photos. These lines cannot be really felt by finger and appears that it was more like a wrinkle repair not a major repair. Horn has rounded tuning slide design pretty innovative like for that period. Copper accents present on slides. Very unique design of pull knobs on slides and also water keys easy to operate. Beside some wear this horn is full of life with all slides sliding abs smooth Getzen valves with great compression. Horn comes with original case in great shape very handy and original Getzen mouthpiece which will need cleaning. Spotted a couple of minor dings don’t see any resolderings. Overall great and rare vintage horn. Sale is considered final. Need residence or business address NO P. I don’t do local pick ups in person.
