1999 Bach Standard STD-1 Trumpet. It’s been played in many NFL stadiums. Due to being a marching horn it suffered a couple dents but have recently been fixed and the whole horn has been completely refurbished, and. Chemical bathed by a professional music company. The horn practically looks new!!! I’d say it is in good shape to excellent shape! All slides/valves-work excellent and let me reiterate this is NOT AN BACH STRAD. Don’t miss out on a great concert/marching horn that I absolutely cherish and would love to pass down to someone who needs a beautiful sounding Bach trumpet. It also comes with the Bach Stradivarius Trumpet Case and 3C Megatone mouth piece which is an awesome upgrade to have! Also I’ll throw in one standard mute and one jazz mute.
For your consideration is a vintage 1950’s Vincent Bach Mercedes model Mt. Vernon brass trumpet with a hard shell case included. According to information available on bachbrass. Com, this trumpet would land somewhere between 1955 to 1960 for production based on the serial number (14750). This also puts it in the correct era for production in Mt. Vernon, NY as they moved from NYC in 1953. This trumpet is in mostly good cosmetic condition with only a couple areas showing wear (see photos) and a possible re-lacquer occurring at some point in it’s past. Along with this, the valves are not properly leveled out and would need reset. A simple Selmer hard shell plastic trumpet case is included with this trumpet and is in functional shape but does have small cosmetic afflictions. For example, the inner felt and mouthpiece slot section are worn out. That being said, the trumpet, mouthpiece, and accessories are still secured when closed. Exterior plastic sections are good with no punctures or breaks, but are scuffed and metal sections are rusted slightly. Take advantage in owning a great vintage trumpet project at a lowered price! Designed for the rigors of commercial play this horn has a big Bach sound but it is flexible and responsive enough to still let you play a high C at the end of a 4 hour recording session. This instrument is a medium-large bell and features the number 1B lightweight bronze bell for maximum efficiency and slotting. This instrument is ostensibly a demo model but I see no sign it has ever been played – do note however, that it only includes the D-shaped tuning slide. Don’t miss this one! I have a used Bach TR500 Trumpet that comes a Bach carrying case and an unopened cleaning kit. Trumpet is in really good condition. It has a slight dent on the horn. Great starter trumpet and can be used for a long time! Only played this for about 2 years and it always worked great!
