Henri Selmer Paris K-Modified 24B Trumpet Raw Brass Satin Finish withcase, mpc

Silver and Brass Music Shop is a brick-and-mortar brass instrument restoration and repair shop located in Carson City, NV. This is a Henri Selmer Paris K-Modified trumpet serial number. The bore of the horn is. The bell is 4 5/8″ and has a small bell wreath or “kranz, which gives the horn improved projection and improves responsiveness. This horn is finished in raw brass, and has a satin patina finish. The inside of the bell has been polished to a bright shine. Reads: HENRI/ SELMER/ PARIS/ SELMER/ MADE IN FRANCE/ ®. The leadpipe has K-MODIFIED stamped on the mouthpiece receiver. This horn looks very nice and plays very well. The valves have very good compression and feel very mechanically sound, with no wiggle from side to side. As for the aesthetic condition of the horn, there are a couple of minuscule dings and scuffs on the horn. There are a few areas of light scratching and a small amount of light pitting on the valve cluster from regular playing. There is also a small amount of light pitting and scratching inside the bell flare. All this is visible in the pictures, and none of it affects the playability of the horn. This instrument has been professionally cleaned in our shop and repaired to full playability. This trumpet comes with a mouthpiece in good condition, and a somewhat worn case. This is a Bach New York Mount Vernon Stradivarius Bb Cornet Model 31 New York 67 Bell Serial Number 12756 Bore X Circa 1953. This Cornet belonged to his father and his father was the original owner. The Bell as a small crease in it. (See Photos) There is also one small pit on the bell. Compression in the Valves seems good to me. The horn plays fantastic! If I didn’t already own a Bb Mt. Vernon Cornet I would be purchasing it myself. Listing includes Case as shown. One latch is broken. Mouthpiece is NOT included. Would recommend fixing dent in Bell and stripping horn and re-laquering or plating. I recently had a question regarding the bore. Above the Serial number is an X. So I thought that was the Bore. Towards the bottom of the Valve Casing is an M. Just an FYI not sure what the X means. 1920s Vintage Ludwig 5x14 Super Ludwig Brass Snare Drum

It has a nickel over brass shell. It also has nice gut and wire combo snares. These drums sound fantastic! Nothing compares to the original 1920s Ludwig brass shell, (same as Black Beauty)! The bearing edges are rolled and welded to the shell. Many companies have tried to reproduce this shell Joyful Noise, AK (Adrian Kirchler), Ludwig Triumphal etc, but nothing compares to the original! To quote an article from Not So Modern Drummer. As many vintage collectors will agree, the early 1920s 1930s Ludwig heavy brass snare drums had a certain mojo; a magical feel and sound that you just dont hear in modern drums today. As far as I can tell, everything except the heads, appears to be original. I have never cleaned this drum, but it would shine up well if you choose to do so. The drum is in very nice condition. It has a small bb sized dent on one panel, under the Ludwig engraving (see pictures) but otherwise, no structural imperfections, cracks, gouges, etc. I have priced this drum for a quick sale. It has been a while, but now it is time to let some more gear go. I would consider trades or partial trades on high end Sonor snares, and possibly kits.
