Blessing – D/Eb – Brass trumpet with matching D & Eb slides with case – Used. This is a rare vintage instrument! This is a Blessing – Eb/D – serial # 341110 – Long Bell with matching D & Eb slides. Is it the horn of your dreams? However, it is a great trumpet if you are a doubler and only use a D/Eb occasionally. Is it a Shires? It is a good basic horn that I have enjoyed performing on but have no use for anymore. There isn’t a dent on this instrument, the valves work great and the slides are in perfect condition. If you looking an D/Eb trumpet but don’t have 3 or 4K to spend then this is the horn for you. I have performed on this instrument in a brass quintet, a brass choir, a brass band, an orchestra and playing marches in a concert band when the music has called for a solo Eb Cornet. I had a friend use it to perform the Haydn Concerto and he was pleasantly surprised on how well it played.

King Trumpet Cleaning Guide. For your consideration is a Benge 90B Silver Plated trumpet with hard case included. This horn is believed to be part of the U. I (United Musical Instruments) era of Benge which began in 1985 when CG Conn and King were absorbed by a Swedish conglomerate and resulted in UMI’s formation with these brands. The serial number system used by King was still applicable early on for the UMI trumpets and therefore with the prefix of “5”, this would make the horn’s production year 2005 (Serial #: 5 619397). The 90B was a hand crafted, hand fitted, and hand adjusted horn from mouthpiece to bell and was skillfully crafted to ensure accuracy throughout the instrument. In forums, it’s often referred to as a “Bach Strad Clone” and is classified as a darker and heavier sounding horn than others. Beautiful bell engraving shows a nice logo front as well as internal diamond pattern designs as well. Paired with a comfortable feel and great sound, this would make a great upgrade from a student line instrument! This horn was found in very good condition with only a little bit of clean up/silver polish required and a few small instances of dings in the bell section. Our pictures may not reflect this as the dings were quite difficult to capture in photo due to their location. The horn has been cleaned and is in working condition. This is a Bach Stradivarius 180S37 silver trumpet in Bb with the additional 1. Valve trigger not found on most 37’s. S/n 116XXX makes this around 1977, though there is a small gap in the serial number lists at that point. It looks far newer and to have been played very carefully and very little. Silver plating about 99.5% with little if any wear at all, and just a couple very small dings left over from careful and minor dent removal. No signs of repair or major dent removal. Valves are fast and smooth and quiet with very good compression. All tuning slides are free including the third-valve dump slide which is so often stuck on vintage horns. Just through the shop where it was chem cleaned, detergent cleaned, lubed, polished, and had all new tuning slide O-rings, water key cork, piston felts and stop rod bumper installed. Copper bottom straight mute, Harmon wow-wow mute, polishing cloth, Bach 5C and 7C mouthpieces, new ProTec microfiber cloth, and new ProTec leather finger protector. All in the vintage hard case with minor wear and what looks like tiny paint splatters, but structurally in good condition. A great-playing horn from a great period with a hard-to-find trigger, and super hard to find in this condition!
