B&S Sonora soprano cornet in very good condition, with hard case in usable condition. I’m listing it as a soprano cornet rather than and Eb trumpet as that is what it appears to be, how it plays to me, and how I’ve used it, but please note that it. Takes a trumpet mouthpiece, not a cornet one, and the lead pipe is therefore more parallel than you’d expect. This appears to be how it was built – there is nothing about the lead pipe, valve block or bell that suggest it’s been modified. For mouthpieces, I’ve been using a Rudy Mück 13c (see other my other listings) – it seems to give reasonable range and intonation. (I should say, that I’m a Bb player -this was just an occasional excursion for me). The case has some cracking to the corners. I put tape on to discourage the cracks from spreading but the tape was a total waste of time firstly as it crept, and secondly as the cracks haven’t shown any inclination to spread, so I’d say the case is perfectly serviceable, but I probably wouldn’t trust it to an airport baggage handler, or sit on it.
