This collection of screws is from a now closed brass instrument repair shop. It contains many samples of the Allied screws such as lyre holder screws (A440, 441, 442, 443, 1690), wing screws (A444, 445, 446, 448, 449, 1691,), and tuba bell screws (A212). There are also several different kinds of stop arms and stop arm screws; and stop plates and stop plate screws. You can also get a good idea of the contents from the picture that includes the upper lid of the box. The Allied screws alone are worth c. At Allied’s present prices. The stop arms etc. Would add to that.

For parts or repairs. These FLUGELHORNS restored are extremely desirable and valuable. This is an earlier, pre-war example in silver finish. The serial number is worn but reads, 60, xxx!! Puts it in a very, very desirable era! There are no water keys. It has patches throughout that appear to be made put of the same brass stock. One brace needs to be reattached. All the slides are free accept for the MP and lead pipe. The valve action is load but fairly smooth. The broken pinky ring. It has tape covering the patches. 3 are leaking w my “soap test” and actually, the horn sounds pretty extraordinary! One finger button may not be original. Moderate wear on valves. It appears to be a very fine mouthpiece? These have been highly coveted since they came out.. The right person could easily save this. For restoration, as found.
I used to repair guitars and someone brought this cornet to me for repair. I do not repair cornets or trumpets so the person traded it in on another instrument I owned. The instrument has good heft and feel of a quality instrument. The horn presents well and is clean. The lacquer is good with only minimal loss and a few scratches. The valves move freely. There are a few small dings (no large ones) and the bell looks good with no dings, only a few scratches with mild lacquer loss. All parts of the horn are in place except the mouthpiece. The horn needs to be lubed and tuned. They removed the blockage but punched a hole in the metal tubing adjacent to the mouth piece (see photos). The case is in good condition… Clean and matching King brand. Keith’s Camera and Music.
For your consideration is an unbranded rotary trumpet project that was created out of the remnants of 3 separate trumpets and housed within a used Gator brand hard shell case. This trumpet was crafted as a project build by a local college student enrolled in a band instrument repair program and was intended to help teach the intricacies of the instrument while crafting a unique instrument. The horn is currently playable, but would benefit from a regulation/adjustment at a local shop. During inspection, we noticed that the valve stems were not aligned level and would need reset. Along with this, we noticed plate wear and cosmetic wear throughout the brass and copper sections. This doesn’t inhibit play, but is visible. Lastly, we noticed the bell used in the project has a hole in the end of the rim. This will of course change the resonance and tone of the horn. The case has scratches and discoloration to the exterior section but is protective to the instrument and latches work as intended. Similarly, the mouthpiece included (Warburton 4M top w/ Warburton 5 backbore) is functional with minor cosmetic wear present. Top comes off easily and majority of wear is present in backbore. Listing would be best suited to a collector of unique instruments, a hobbyist wanting to continue the customization of the instrument, or a player wanting a unique instrument to play. This horn plays amazing! You can switch from B flat to A as you’re playing with the Opera vocal dial! This antique Conn Victor Long Cornet from 1921 is a rare find that will surely impress any collector or musician. You also get the original mouthpiece which says Conn model on it. You also get the original cup mute which says CONN on it and has a beautiful patina on it! The case still looks great with a little wear being that it’s 102 years old! This instrument has been completely stripped and replated without nasty Laquer! The mother of pearl valve pedals are beautiful! The valves are smooth like butter you will never find another one of these that looks like this or plays like this it’s just absolutely amazing stunning and spectacular!
