Made in the USA. These trumpets have been a staple in the American musical history… The quality and craftsmanship.. You know you have the real deal in your hands.. The playabilty, build, quality, and sound un-deniable. It has 4 slides.. 2 moisture valves, finger and thumb hooks… It has had a full pro setup… Everything cleaned and polished extensively, buffed.. Valves and slides taken apart and serviced, cleaned, lubed.. All springs and felts inspected and replaced where needed.. And brought back to full playability. Great sound and tone… A couple of small dents… But still a beauty… And nothing affecting the playability. Has a Bach 7c mouthpiece. And comes with a cleaning cloth, cleaning brush.. Label on bell includes desighned by Vincent Bach. These are special horns… And one for any collection.

A magnificent trumpet for those who are willing to learn how to play it. Buescher trumpets should not be over blown. You need to back off and let the trumpet do the work, Buescher was a genius! The main difference between the standard 400 and Lightweight 400 is the weight of the valve block, the diameter of the valves, and the thickness of the nickel-silver tubing. The bell and leadpipe appear to be the same between the two versions. We have never seen one of these models in this good condition before. The pictured Buescher case is included. Professional BARITONE horn, manufactured in the latter half of the 1980’s. The trumpet was originally owned for around 20 years by a professional jazz musician from New Orleans, USA, who brought it over to the UK with him, where I acquired it. It has had a fantastic life, gracing stages across America, but sadly, I do not play her anymore so it is time to pass her on. It doesn’t comes with any dents only you can see the marks of life. It has a few signs of wear and tear but. The valves run extremely smoothly and it still sounds absolutely lo. This is an extremely rare vintage trumpet, made in very small batches. I have thoroughly cleaned and oiled it.

Has been serviced and tested by a brass musician specialist (repair tech / private instructor) and is in ready to play condition. Cleaned: Degreased, Chem Cleaned, Swabbed. New Piston / Valve Felts. New Rubber O-Rings on Kicker Slides. New Water Key Corks. This is a pre-owned trumpet there are dents, dings, scratches and wear in general from prior use. Even though this is a 1970’s student level trumpet it is not beat up as so many of these old school beginners end up, it did not see very much action. I’m guessing some kid back in the day used it a little then it got “time capsuled” in a closet and came to us in 2024. All serviced of course here at JGMP Brass. All nice and shiny with original lacquer. Metal valve guides (not plastic like they make now). All the caps and buttons have nice crisp edges like new. Excellent trumpet for beginning band students, adult beginners, high school or college marching band back up trumpet so you don’t damage your concert hall trumpet during a marching band or pep game.
