BUT SOME LIKE THE PRE-COMMITTEE IMPERIALS BETTER. AFTER 1939, IMPERIALS ARE INTERMEDIATE HORNS. THIS 161/2-INCH-LONG HORN PLAYS WELL AND HAS A SMOOTH, MELLOW TONE. A GOOD HORN FOR RECORDING! THIS HORN HAS NEW VALVE SPRINGS AND TOP FELTS, SO THE VALVES ARE FAST, EASY, AND QUIET. THE ORIGINAL CASE AND THE MARTIN #7 SILVER-PLATED MOUTHPIECE ARE IN GOOD CONDITION! Scarce Martin Committee T3460 Medium Bore Trumpet Serial # 549676 – Very Nice! I also had one small ding taken out. There are no dents but a couple of pin sized dings. The silver plating has no thin spots or brassing. There are light scratches which I have not tried to remove. Case looks to be original and does have some wear but overall looks good. This is a hard to find quality Trumpet which has been increasing in value quickly. Comes with a Vincent Bach mouthpiece. The Committee T3460 trumpet design was a favorite of Miles Davis although his trumpets were very customized. A model T3460 Committee trumpet with a midnight blue epoxy body and gilt moon and stars decorations, commissioned by jazz legend Miles Davis in the early 1980s. Please look at the 12 pictures closely and judge the condition, size and content of this lot for yourself as our photos are a large portion of our description. Selmer Mark VI Alto Saxophone 114xxx 1964 – EXCELLENT CONDITION. Medium bow and well within the coveted 58,000-150,000 serial number range, built in 1964. I’ve owned this instrument since 1994, and it’s by far the finest I’ve ever had. Only one owner prior to me, never been relaquered, modified, or required any major repairs, is in perfect playing condition and sounds amazing. There is normal wear on the lacquer and some oxidation (as to be expected in a 50-plus-year-old instrument), and what appears to be some sort of repair that was required on the low-C key guard before it came into my possession. Meyer mouthpiece in picture is NOT included , however the case pictured IS included. This is a Boosey and Hawkes Sovereign medium bore B flat cornet, Model No. 920, dating to 1981. It is in good condition and is a lovely player. It is very easy to blow and is beautifully in tune, with a huge rich full sound. The silver plating, which is original, is worn in places. All the slides, triggers and valves move very well, and the water corks are in good condition. It was recently professionally serviced, oiled and greased, and the trigger springs have been replaced. This much-loved cornet comes with its original Boosey and Hawkes hard blue Sovereign case, which has had stickers on it in the past. Nice estate fine, 1920ish. Couple minor dings, no bends, bell is not wrinkled like picture shows, it’s just. Slides very smooth for not being oiled in many many years. ONE OWNER IN EXCELLENT PLAYING CONDITION AND VERY GOOD COSMETIC CONDITION. THIS IS A RARE 1963 MARTIN COMMITTEE WITH A FIRST VALVE SLIDE TRIGGER. In 1961 Martin became part of Roundtable of Musical Craftsmen (RMC), the company formed by Paul Richards that combined Martin with Reynolds and Blessing. When RMC dissolved a couple years later, Wurlitzer picked up the rights to the Martin brand. Leblanc bought the Martin name in 1971, moved the operation to Kenosha, Wis. And stopped producing the Committee model for a while, though it continued to make custom versions for Miles Davis. When they reintroduced the Committee, it was a different design and a decent horn by all accounts. But it wasnt the Committee that seduced generations of jazz listeners and performers with its creamy, mocha java, almost flugel-like timbre.
