Nice Used Generic replacement trumpet case for longer style trumpets, long cornets, and peashooter horns. Put that old disgusting original case up in the attic. Put your baby in a case designed for longer horns. Great interior, no smells. Comes with a plush velour trumpet bag. The interior is 21″ across and should fit most any brand standard straight crook style trumpet to 20 3/4″ see photos w measurements. It probably does not fit a “Balanced” trumpet. See photos with measurements as far as where the valve cluster to the bell crook and end of the case measure. Due your own diligence. No guarantees of this fitting what you need. This case came to me with a Leblanc 707 Gozzo Trumpet. It could be an original Gozzo case? As nice as this case is. I bought a different brand new case for my Gozzo so I don’t need this one. There are a lot of gorgeous cases out there, but most have branding and embroidered on them and or a emblem that you don’t know how it is attached! Some look like the emblems are just attached with adhesive but yet I have destroyed some cases… Finding out they are riveted on! No problems with this case! This Couesnon Monopole Conservatoire long bell silverplated 3 valve Bb piccolo trumpet, number 22952, has an impressive provenance. Accepts a Bach cornet mouthpiece. While the Believed to date from the 1940s or 1950s. It certainly dates from no earlier than 1931 when Couesnon et Cie was reorganized (incorporated) to become Couesnon, S. The extra tubing gives the appearance of a lower keyed instrument. It has a beautiful tone as once said by Wynton Marsalis, who Mr. Nowak met while on tour with the Brooklyn Phiharmonia in the 1970s and remains a longtime friend. It was used by Mr. Nowak in many concerts of Baroque music at Carnegie Hall and elsewhere. It can be heard on his performances of the Bach orchestral suites with the Marlboro orchestra on Columbia Records, and the recording of the Baldassare Concerto with RAI National Symphony Orchestra. Nowak enjoyed an impressive career spanning five decades. He is the former principal trumpet player with the Kansas City Philharmonic, the Robert Shaw Group, the Mostly Mozart Festival, Marlboro Music Festival, the American Ballet Theatre, Festival Casals, Inc. With his brother, Jerry Nowak, he co-authored The Art of Expressive Playing, published by Carl Fischer. Toward the end of his career he lived in Hong Kong and lectured, taught and performed throughout the Far East. He was a professor and soloist with the Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts and founding professor with the Korean University Academy of Performing Arts. He was also a guest lecturer at the Shanghai Conservatory and assistant conductor with the Vietnam National Symphony, the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra tour of Japan, Myanmar Symphony, and the Pan-Asian Chamber Orchestra, Calcutta. Nowak played on numerous recordings of the Marlboro Orchestra under the direction of Pablo Casals, who in February of 1970 wrote, Henry Nowak is an excellent trumpet player with a beautiful sound, a solid technique and an outstanding musicianship. I have known Mr. Nowak for years and he has played under my direction as a member of the Casals Festival Orchestra and at the Marlboro Festival. I have admired him as a soloist and in chamber music groups. He is a well-rounded musician with experience in all phases of his profession. His students include David Krauss, Principal with the Metropolitan Opera, and additional references include those from Wynton Marsalis, Yoho Ma, and Rudolf Serkin. This vintage collectible piece is in playing condition. The series of Pan American instruments were made by Conn. There is plenty of cosmetic wear such as scratches, small dings, and marks. There are a couple of small dents (shown in pictures). The instrument comes with the original Conn style case. All valves and slides seem to be in working condition, except the tuning slide needs just a bit of love. It also comes with the original mouthpiece that is specific to the horn. White SilverTone long bell model #1069 Bb cornet with an excellent non-original case. Included is a Bach #7 silver-plated mouthpiece in good condition. The serial number 238363 manufactured in Cleveland, Ohio dates to 1940. The bore size measured on the 2nd valve slide measures. The bell diameter measures 4.65. If you do your research as you should you will find that most of the pro trumpet player blogs compare this vintage model horn favorably. The instrument plays remarkably well yielding big bold sound with excellent intonation qualities. For a cornet without intonation adjustments such as a 1st valve thumb saddle, trigger or a 3rd valve finger ring adjustment the horn plays remarkably in tune. The instrument has been chem cleaned and thoroughly cleaned inside and out. The horn was ultrasonically cleaned as well. All new valve stem corks and felts. Excellent valve speed and compression. There are no missing or non original parts on this horn. The old lacquer was removed, the few dings it had were gently removed. After the thorough cleaning the body of the horn was then re-lacquered with a baked-on epoxy lacquer. The sterling silver bell was not re-lacquered as it is my personal opinion that the inherent gorgeous sound produced by the infamous bell would be compromised by lacquering same. The excellent condition vintage Conn Connqueror cornet case has been cleaned inside and out and sanitized/disinfected with a hospital grade solution. No odors to worry about. The included Bach #7 cornet mouthpiece is in good condition with evidence of some shank wear. The mouthpiece rim is in excellent condition. There are no keys to the case. The horn is clean, shiny, sanitized, valves oiled, slides lubricated and ready to play right out of the box. Also included: An Ultra Pure Oils Deluxe Trumpet Care Kit, a jar of Wrights silver polish, a 4oz bottle of lacquer polish spray, and a very handy Ultra Pure Oils brand silver polishing cloth.
