Vega Advanced Triumphal Peashooter Trumpet – Refurbished – Case & Vega 2 MP Bore. 446 – Serial# 35. These are one of my favorite peashooters, this one is in good shape, tuning slide and HP/LP slide were stuck which required disassembly and soldering, both components are now moving nicely. Compression is excellent, nice loud pop when pulling all slides, slides are smooth, 3rd slide is a little firm and It’s missing the 3rd slide ring, its very small and I have none in stock that size. Caps thread easily, valves are fast and most of the lacquer is gone. The original case is a little rough with worn interior and exterior, latch springs work, and case has had repairs done in the past, the horn also comes with a nice original Vega 2 mouthpiece. UpYourBrass shop policies are to offer only inspected, repaired, thoroughly cleaned, detailed horns. Horn is dis-assembled and inspected, soaked in an organic de-greasing solution and scrubbed. Body, valves and components are treated in an organic chem clean with Tesch products (Tesch is recommended by NAPBIRT). Hand-lapped valves and chambers (This process can take up to an hour). Complete detail of all components, hot water scrubbed and prepped for assembly. Valves aligned, pads and springs replaced as needed. Play tested and final inspected before listing for sale. Clean your instrument regularly (especially lead-pipe and tuning slide) and have a chem-clean or ultrasonic clean done every two years. Vintage cases are all disinfected, cleaned and sanitized but there may be a residual horn smell in any old case. UpYourBrass Policies (please read).
