Used Holton Model TR181 Bass Trombone Dual Independent Rotors. This us a very nice playing older Holton TR151 Bass Trombone. Has lacquer worn in bell and hand contact points. Small dents, nothing major. Tuning slides pull freely. Hand slide is smooth and quick. Brass shop cleaned and lubricated. Includes original case in good condition. Includes new 6 1/2AL large shank mouthpiece. Great horn, great deal. The Holton TR181 inline independent double rotor bass trombone has the reputation of having established the true bass trombone sound. The hand slide action is smooth and the serial number is in the mid 368, xxx range, which dates the year of manufacture to approximately 1959. This trombone has scratches throughout from normal use and appears to have most of its original lacquer, with approximately 90-95% of lacquer and inner bell gold plating intact. Holton Harvey Phillips TU330 CC Four Piston Front Action Dual Bore Tuba w Case

Holton 330CC Harvey Phillips Double C Four Piston Professional Tuba. This tuba was designed by the late great Harvey Phillips in collaboration with Holton’s low brass team. Phillips was arguably the greatest tuba advocate, instructor and player in the 20th century. Phillips felt this was a truly remarkable tuba and recommended it for high quality orchestral and band performances. It is a dual bore, four valve piston, front action compact full size tuba with strong projection and a smooth rich full sound. Included is a very heavy duty road case and a Vincent Bach 18 mouthpiece in excellent condition. This tuba is around 19 years old but is in very good condition. Cosmetic blemishes include light surface scratches, pings, normal wear and a few small indentations. The worse can be viewed in the last two photos. As you can see, overall in very good condition. There are no large dents or blaring concerns and most of the lacquer is very nice. It is certainly a tuba you can feel proud to take out of the case. Box address because the size and weight. NEW PRICE Duo Gravis Bass Trombone King 6B Dual Dependant triggers 10 Bell

It is time for me to thin the herd, My wife may be right that a retired Army bandsman probably doesn’t need three bass trombones. I still have a dual trigger and my dance band custom that I assembled so I should be ok. This came back from the shop last week with a full sonic cleaning, adjustments and lube to all tuning and hand slides. Lube and adjustments to the valves, restrung and working at 100%. It received a clean bill of health from my brass guy John. This King an excellent player player normal lightscratching and signs of wear, but in very nice overall shape. I did not find any obvious dents, inner slide stockings are pristine. Slide is a good 9 out of 10. A couple of small spots on the outer bell flare under the lacquer. Lacquer looks like 90% A very presentable Early Duo Gravis with a four digit serial number, 970x, which according to my repair tech makes it a very early Duo Gravis. I played one in a National guard band for a very wide range of playing styles from brass choir to Dance Band. This one is in good condition. It has an interesting in-line rotor configuration, where the F and Gb triggers are both operated by the left thumb. The hand hold shows a bit of wear complete with a discolored area. The Slide is very good and this horn is great to play. This Bass trombone is ideal for advanced students that are looking to acquire a gigging bass trombone, or the budding professional that needs a reliable bass trombone. I have a video on YouTube not very good but you can hear it! Go to YOUTUBE search for img 2460 duo gravis. It has a nice rigid Protec International case, (NOT A GIG BAG) very protective but only 16 pounds with the horn. The case is missing a shoulder strap. I never had it but did not miss it. This is a TERRIFIC Edwards dual-Thayer valve bass trombone. Edwards has become one of the standards of the trombone world. Their magnificent response and tone quality, as well as the variety of customization options, have won trombone players over everywhere. This one is in excellent condition. It features the 1215CF bell (yellow brass, 22 gauge, tempered) and the standard. 562 slide, two independent Thayers in F and G, and has an additional tuning slide that puts the second valve into standalone D and a pedal Bb in first position with both triggers engaged. Plays great – slide is excellent and the rotors are very good as well. Bell has a couple of very minor dings and scars (see photos) but overall is in excellent condition.
