Increbly rare sax wrap Besson paris Flugelhorn(see trumpet) only. Serial number 46xxx, and I believe it makes this 1899? A few dings but no major trauma. Will need to be pulled. This is a very rare beauty. It will need pads, cork. Please note that one of the top caps is not Original. Small solder marks on the 2nd valve slide. Light wear, normal on valves. Light as a feather. This is a very special instrument.

Couesnon flugelhorn with serial number S2229 puts manufacture date about 69-70. I bought it new 1970. The horn has the coveted dark flugelhorn sound Couesnon is famous for. The valves work flawlessly. It has had a Yamaha 3rd valve trigger installed. Fifty percent of the original lacquer is worn off which does not affect it sound. These horns are now collectors items. Whenever I played this horn someone in the audience when tell me how nice it sounded.

All the Benge 1X trumpets were medium bore. I’m not certain of the bore size on this one. Some Benge flugelhorns get a bad rap – especially the ones with the #5 bell. That model has been referred to as “the holy grail “of flugels. This Benge 1-FL has a very similar sound and feel. It has a very compact sound, with even intonation throughout the horn. It’s been refinished in a antiqued style with bright polished accents and inner bell. A 3rd slide trigger has also been installed.

For parts or repairs. These FLUGELHORNS restored are extremely desirable and valuable. This is an earlier, pre-war example in silver finish. The serial number is worn but reads, 60, xxx!! Puts it in a very, very desirable era! There are no water keys. It has patches throughout that appear to be made put of the same brass stock. One brace needs to be reattached. All the slides are free accept for the MP and lead pipe. The valve action is load but fairly smooth. The broken pinky ring. It has tape covering the patches. 3 are leaking w my “soap test” and actually, the horn sounds pretty extraordinary! One finger button may not be original. Moderate wear on valves. It appears to be a very fine mouthpiece? These have been highly coveted since they came out.. The right person could easily save this. For restoration, as found.
