The serial number 2126 aligns with documented early Mercedes production, which began around #2118. This early model closely resembles the Bach 12, featuring a 7 bell and a. 508 bore hand slide. Original Bach case (fair condition, cosmetic wear present). Vincent Bach 6 1/2 AL mouthpiece. Vincent Bach 14D mouthpiece. Frank Holton 88A mouthpiece. Cleaning accessories (as pictured). Only the items shown in the photos are included. No additional accessories or parts are supplied. This trombone is in good playing condition with visible cosmetic wear appropriate for its age. Holton Trumpet READY TO PLAY! Case Mouthpiece Care Kit T602R Good playing instrument. Playing – This is good playing horn. Tuning slides and valves move well. Valve compression is good. Serial Number – SN 387641 Finish – Overall it looks ok Lacquer is about 80%. There is some evidence of repair. Serviced – Horn has been completely serviced including chemical cleaning, hand-washing, and ultrasonic clearning. Springs, felts and corks have been replaced as needed. Play tested to ensure playability. Mouthpiece: 7C mouthpiece in good condition. This is approprate for a inexperence player. Holton Model 45 Trumpet 1950 – Reconditioned – Original Case & Bach 5C MP Bore. 456 – Serial# 215. These Model 45’s and 48’s are some of my favorite horns. Valves are smooth with excellent compression, slides are smooth, 3rd slide moves nicely and the horn plays great! Tail and lead-pipe had trauma, I pulled the entire lead-pipe apart and rebuilt it, it also required a patch. Lead-pipe has been stripped and is in raw brass, original case is solid showing wear and the latch springs are broken, included is a lyre and a Bach 5C mouthpiece. UpYourBrass shop policies are to offer only inspected, repaired, thoroughly cleaned, detailed horns. Horn is dis-assembled and inspected, soaked in an organic de-greasing solution and scrubbed. Body, valves and components are treated in an organic chem clean with Tesch products (Tesch is recommended by NAPBIRT). Hand-lapped valves and chambers (This process can take up to an hour). Complete detail of all components, hot water scrubbed and prepped for assembly. Valves aligned, pads and springs replaced as needed. Play tested and final inspected before listing for sale. Most of my horns have sat for long periods of time before reconditioning and need to be cleaned again soon after being brought back into service. Vintage cases are all disinfected, cleaned and sanitized but there may be a residual horn smell in any old case. Clean your instrument regularly (especially lead-pipe and tuning slide) and have a chem-clean or ultrasonic clean done every two years. UpYourBrass Policies (please read).
