Selmer Signet Special Trumpet 1970 – Reconditioned – Case & Selmer S Mouthpiece M Bore. 445 – Serial# 50. Nickle Silver bell really gives this horn some punch, it plays really well. Lacquer at 60%, obvious signs of use, bell tail and taper required dent work, 2nd slide knob is a replacement. Valves feel great with excellent compression and slides are all smooth. 3rd slide moves nicely and caps all thread easily. Horn comes with a Selmer S mouthpiece and a later model Selmer Bach case in good condition showing wear around exterior perimeter. UpYourBrass shop policies are to offer only inspected, repaired, thoroughly cleaned, detailed horns. Horn is dis-assembled and inspected, soaked in an organic de-greasing solution and scrubbed. Body, valves and components are treated in an organic chem clean with Tesch products (Tesch is recommended by NAPBIRT). Hand-lapped valves and chambers (This process can take up to an hour). Complete detail of all components, hot water scrubbed and prepped for assembly. Valves aligned, pads and springs replaced as needed. Play tested and final inspected before listing for sale. Clean your instrument regularly (especially lead-pipe and tuning slide) and have a chem-clean or ultrasonic clean done every two years.
