I used to compare many horns to each other for playability. I learned a lot by doing this both about myself and about horns. For your consideration vintage Martin Committee #15xxxx range Medium bore best period of mid 1940s Bb Trumpet model. This is medium bore with 4.75 bell flare. These Committees are great players and this one is certainly one of these! The horn has had few repairs done as advertised in the above section. After that it was chemically aged so patina looks like a camo raw brass plus this was done few years ago so the patina also naturally aged after that. The engraving on the bell as well as serial numbers are fully readable and visible. The bell engraving is the one from the lighter ones not cut deeply into the bell. Leadpipe has 3 scratches as on photo but these look more dramatic than these are. Bell flare does not appear to be repaired. As far as I remember the horn needed to be straighten out a bit and reinforced and this was only done what needed to be done, Brass is healthy. Compression is top notch and valves are smooth. All slides are coming out as shown on the last photo. 3rd slide ring is a duplicate of original ring in brass and screw non original is holding it well and functions as it should. All the repairs were done pro and very clean and without knowing are hard to spot. This horn is straight and ready for action!
