Taylor Custom One Of a Kind Pro Trumpet. I started my journey as a collector of professional trumpets 16 years ago and since, I have had the pleasure of owning over 800 professional trumpets. Without question, this is the most unique and fascinating. When this custom horn recently became available from the Taylor Custom shop I had to have it. My personal goal is to play all the great horns and I felt if I didn’t experience this one, then my journey would not be complete. According to Andy Taylor, this one took a tremendous amount of detail hand work and time to complete. The finish is hard to capture in photos. It is a high gloss black nickel plated horn with a hand carved one piece leadpipe. It is hard to imaged the patience to accomplish such a work of art. The trumpet has beautiful lines with a pointed milled finger ring, wedged bottom caps, a ferruless main tuning slide and many other artistic details. Two of the features I love are the custom fluted mouthpiece and airbrushed image of Darth Vader in the unusual shaped bell. This trumpet is heavier than most , but not as heavy as the Standard custom. The valves are superb (like all the Taylors) and the sound and feel is similar to the other heavy custom horns that I have played from Taylor. It is focused, warm and rounded with richness and projection and it is as unique in the sound and feel has it is in looks. Truly, a One of A Kind , Thank you Andy for letting me experience this. I will certainly own others and I will forever be thankful for the opportunity to play the great horns from Taylor. Listing AWESOME TAYLOR COMMITTEE OF ONE AND ONE OF A KIND HORN! TAYLOR HERITAGE MODEL PATTERNED AFTER #3 VINTAGE COMMITTEE! I have never seen another one like it and most likely won’t see it ever again! This is once in a lifetime opportunity! The Taylor Heritage Martin Committee Large bore 0.468 ” version with bell flare very close to 5″! Serial is stamped on the 2nd valve and it’s #44xxx. Horn features multiple finish colors and it is a really an amazing piece! It plays as well as it looks or even better. Perfect player and / or for display! This horn was owned by ONE OWNER but not really played and it’s in perfect shape. It sounds and plays just awesome! The bell appears to be yellow brass lacquered then the body is black and slides red including bottom caps and finger ring. Top caps and finger buttons are yellow brass lacquered with beautiful red finger buttons stones (see photo). This is a Taylor true take on a vintage Martin Committee #3 Bore! So to playability this horn plays similar to a large bore vintage Committee or even better. WhenI played it I noticed something unusual like when I was playing it in higher range this horn was kind of supporting it and was letting me stay there as long as I could / wanted to without the force to drop the notes and go down the range unless of course i wanted to go down. This trumpet has perfect valve / slides air compression! When I was talking photos and pulled the slides out to make a photo it was hard for me to push these in as valves are so air tight on this horn! Don’t miss your once in a lifetime opportunity. This horn comes with highly protective pro Tec gig case with backpack straps included. Also silver mouthpiece 7c standard silver plated is included. This sale is considered final. This is an AMAZING Calicchio double trumpet in Bb and Eb. Dominic Calicchio made his name building custom trumpets for the LA studio scene. In addition to his more standard models, he built several one-off trumpets that were made to order. Here we see a one of a kind custom double trumpet. Pitched in the keys of Bb and Eb, this is a true double trumpet with separate slides and bells for each key. The Bb side appears to have a standard Calicchio bell, whereas the Eb side is a smaller, red brass bell. Switching between the two sides is controlled by a thumb trigger. Conditionwise, this horn is very good. While it does show some wear from play everything is in good shape and this horn plays very well on both sides. Valves are fast and tight.
