White KING Zephyr Baritone Saxophone. This incredible King Zephyr baritone sax was previously owned by the New Orleans saxophone legend, Dr. The horn is a true player’s horn. Incredible resonance, brilliant tone, bold and rich sound and good intonation across the range of the horn. Just overhauled, the horn has new pads with metal resonators, new corks and felts. Original springs are all in great condition. Horn was cleaned and regulated for professional performance. The King Zephyr was the state-of-the-art saxophone in the 1950s, prior to the advent of the Selmer Mark VI and King Super 20. In many ways, the Zephyr horns produce a bolder and richer tone and sound than more modern horns. This horn was manufactured at King’s Cleveland factory and has the double-socket neck. The case is the original King case. It is in good condition for its age and very elegant in its shape. There are a couple of exterior covering blemishes, clearly shown in the pictures. Extensive pictures of the horn below. There have been some metal damage and repairs over its life. The body, bell and upper bow of the horn are all in great overall shape with minimal dents and dings. The finish of the horn is an almost copper / gold finish. She’s a KILLER player!!
