Vincent Bach stradivarius large bore trumpet. This has been well used and is not pristine, but is in first rate mechanical order and plays superbly. Lacquer is not bad – about 75%intact, I would say. There is wear around the valve block in the usual places where it is held, and minor faults in the lacquer along the bell and mouthpipe. Also, before this beast came to live with me it had sustained damage to the bell and there is visible evidence of repairs to this area (see photos). There are also marks under the lacquer around the bell rim. If they bother you they could be polished out at the expense of a little more lost lacquer. Other than that this trumpet is great. It looks good, if you don’t look too closely and it has been cleaned, lubricated, treated to new valve felts and water key cork and is ready to play. It comes with an almost new and very good condition torpedo bag, which are great trumpet prtection whatever you throw at them. Vincent Bach Strad, Medium Large bore. Made in Elkheart Indiana. It is from the 1980’s. Recently had all the valve springs and rubber bits replaced. Tiny dent on bell and a small dent on u bend on second valve. Both very easily sorted but do not affect the sound. I would like to add that I have checked the compression on the valves and all seems to be in perfect order. 1978 Vincent Bach Stradivarius 42 Professional Trombone withF Trigger Attachment

Vincent Bach Stradivarius Model 42 Professional Trombone with F Trigger Attachment. Serial number dates to approximately 1978. Please look carefully at the photos and read the description. The instrument does play well as-is, but needs attention from a good tech to be at its best. Particularly the slide needs work. Th instrument shows signs of age, wear, and use. This includes scratches and discoloration to the lacquer, minor nicks and small dents, and past solder repairs (see pics – these could be redone and would look better). The water key and lock mechanism are intact. The tuning valves and F trigger all move freely and work properly. The slide works, but needs some attention – it has a couple small knicks and could be smoother. Overall a 6-7-ish/10 cosmetically. The trombone will come in a heavy duty SKB flight case that is in used, but good, functional condition. It will also include two mouthpieces. One is a aVincent Bach, one is a Benge. Both are 6 1/2 AL. The Bach is in excellent shape and looks to be a heavy weight/large shank mouthpiece. The Benge is in ok shape – needs some attention to the shank (which has a thinner wall than the Bach). Bach 42s are excellent quality professional trombones. This could be a great deal for someone willing to put some TLC into it. Make me offer, I’m open!
