This is a rare example of a highly desirable vintage Conn 6m VIII alto saxophone manufactured in the 1940, #M288XXX. His sax is in well-worn used condition with plenty of wear and scratching from many years of playing, but everything works great, and it is set up to good playing adjustment on an older set of mostly Conn Reso-Pads with a number of newer replacements. This sax projects a strong, consistent edge with excellent warm vintage charactor.
