Each part of the slide has been greased up. It has been cleaned with a cleaning liquid called Jet Clean M for internal use. The Yamaha mouthpiece has also been polished. The hard case was also easily cleaned with an air compressor. After cleaning the main body, case and mouthpiece, it is cleaned again with alcohol spray.
