Specialty Guitars exclusive – Callaham enhanced brass vintage block. With your choice of virtual-pop-in arm and parchment white, mint green or black tip. Gilmour arm (4-18 from tip to center of bend). “64” arm (5-1/4 from tip to center of bend). Fender arm (6 from tip to center of bend). Vintage styled top plate. 6 Callaham stamped steel “CG” saddles with springs.     1951 Buescher 400 Top Hat and Cane Tenor Saxophone w/ Original Case. This tenor saxophone has a raised Buescher 400 logo, elaborate Top Hat and Cane engraving. The six digits serial number is 333XXX and it has the B11 right under it. Original lacquer on the saxophone, there are no major dents, some scratches, all keys and pads are still good. The saxophone is playable and all the keys are good. Please check the pictures for more detail. The case is a little torn and little wearing on the onside; the handle on the top of the case doesnt have the leather anymore. Comes with original case. HAD A SMALL DENT IN THE BODY SIDE OF THE’U’BEND BUT REPAIRED AND RE; LACQUERED (by Keith Magnall Sax Tech;) AS TAKING OUT THE DENT CRACKED THE LACQUER AND FINISHED COLOUR DOES NOT QUITE MATCH BUT YOU HAVE TO LOOK TWICE IN CERTAIN LIGHT TO SEE WHAT I MEAN, I’VE TRIED TO PHOTO IT AS WELL AS I CAN, (IT LOOKS 100 TIMES WORSE ON THE PHOTOS THAN IT IS, IT’S A REAL GOOD REPAIR IT’S JUST THE COLOUR DOES’NT QUITE MATCH AS I’VE TRIED TO EXPLAIN) A MINOR SCRATCH JUST ABOVE THE SERIAL NUMBER (00272997) AND A TINY BIT OF WEAR AROUND THE SLING LOOP. IN HAVING SAID ALL THAT, THE SAX IS IN REALLY GOOD CONDITION WITH A LOVELY GOLD FINISH AND PLAYS LOVELY AND THE REPAIR IN NO WAYS AFFECTS THE PLAYABILITY OR SOUND ANY TRIAL /INSPECTION WELCOME. I’M A PRO PLAYER OF OVER 50 YEARS BUT THE TIME HAS COME TO REDUCE MY COLLECTION OF 9 SAXES. I HATE PARTING WITH THIS HORN AND I KNOW I’LL REGRET IT.     This is a rare very original example of a Selmer Super Balanced Action SBA alto saxophone #37XXX manufactured in Paris, France in 1948 with older but usable pads with the original dome metal resonators. His sax is set up to good playing adjustment on older pads but s. Minimal wear and scratching on it’s shiny, clean original laquer finish. This sax blows very warmly and evenly. Saddles: “enhanced vintage”compensated brass. When the Telecaster (Broadcaster) was first designed and built in 1950, the bridge system was crude at best. It served the purpose of positioning the strings, but allowed for only coarse intonation adjustment. Callaham’s bridge maintains the traditional look, while using superior materials and design that deliver a wider frequency response, increased sustain, and perfect intonation.
