Slade Shepard’s Crook Cornet – Reconditioned Excellent! – Case & Original MP Bore. Excellent condition cornet in Ready to Play condition. These look like the same manufacture as the Jean Paul horns. Fully inspected reconditioned instrument with fast valves and smooth slides. Everything works well and the horn plays great! Case and original mouthpiece are included. UpYourBrass shop policies are to offer only inspected, repaired, thoroughly cleaned, detailed horns. Horn is dis-assembled and inspected, soaked in an organic de-greasing solution and scrubbed. Body, valves and components are treated in an organic chem clean with Tesch products (Tesch is recommended by NAPBIRT). Hand-lapped valves and chambers (This process can take up to an hour). Complete detail of all components, hot water scrubbed and prepped for assembly. Valves aligned, pads and springs replaced as needed. Play tested and final inspected before listing for sale. Most of my horns have sat for long periods of time before reconditioning and need to be cleaned again soon after being brought back into service. Vintage cases are all disinfected, cleaned and sanitized but there may be a residual horn smell in any old case. Clean your instrument regularly (especially lead-pipe and tuning slide) and have a chem-clean or ultrasonic clean done every two years. UpYourBrass Policies (please read). If you have any questions or problems with your instrument, please contact UYB first for any issues if needing to return an instrument for being not as described. The shipper will not offer any compensation unless these steps are taken.
