Courtois Made Vito Trumpet Made In France Nickel Pl Great Core Sound Great Price

These rather Rare Vito trumpets were made in France for Leblanc by Courtois. Vito Pascucci owned Leblanc and was a fine trumpet player himself. This trumpet is not to be confused with the student models that were made in Kenosha, Wisconsin by Holton I believe. My guess is that Vito wanted to produce a few of these made in France Trumpets for posterity. It is Stamped Made In France on the inside of the 1rst valve casing and SGDG BREVETE On the 3rd valve casing which means Patented. This stamp was not used after 1968 so this Fine Trumpet predates that. I have had these made in France Vito Trumpets in raw brass, silver and this is the first one I’ve seen that was nickel plated. It has those wonderfully and smooth Courtois valves. It has the typical French style water keys, which I love, internally threaded “Typical French Leblanc”valve topsI don’t see any signs of this Trumpet ever being repaired and it has a few nicks and scratches as most 60 year-old Trumpets will, but there are no major dents and it is a fine player. I measured the bore around. 455 which would be a medium bore, and it doesn’t take much wind to produce a nice sound. I found it as with most nickel plated trumpets, such as a constellation or a Holton Galaxy that they seem to have more core and usually slot very well. This is not an exceedingly bright sounding trumpet. It was just rock solid Right in the middle with much core as I’ve said. Don’t hesitate on this one the slides all work as they should. The third slide ring is not the original but the third slide works like butter. I will make sure that this Trumpet comes fully cleaned on the inside, so all you have to do is throw a mouthpiece in it and play it. If you are in dire need of a mouthpiece, I can include one of those as well. This instrument is wonderfully made and in tremendous condition. I think it would be hard pressed to find another one quite as nice. It does have a couple spots around the handheld areas where you can see some of the Brass showing through but that’s very minimal that would be a wonderful Trumpet for, an advancing young student without breaking the bank. So, make me an offer that I can’t refuse. I haven’t cleaned it yet so it will be even nicer than pics. I’ll check corks and felts and do a valve alignment as best I can. Thank you, Joehorn fb.

Besson was one of the most prominent instrument manufacturers in not just France but the whole world. Their trumpet design was very popular among American orchestral players, and form the basis of most modern trumpet designs. While smaller and ergonomically distinct from modern instruments, these old Brevete models are still excellent players.

Vintage Couesnon & Cie Brass Trumpet or Cornet, Paris France, with Hard Case

I have added a photo of one of the valves (photo #9). One vintage Couesnon & Cie brass trumpet or cornet, made in Paris. All three valves appear to operate normally. It has spots on the surface, and the bell is a bit mangled, as shown. The mouthpiece is stuck in place. It measures just under 17 long. The hard case is not original for this instrument. I could not find a serial number anywhere on it. An aluminum Le Blanc “Hi Tune” mute cone is also included. This substantial and beautiful vintage instrument is awaiting your attention. For sale we have a vintage 1974 SML “King Marigaux”. Soprano Saxophone – made in France. This saxophone was produced by famous saxophone maker SML in France for the King Instrument Company of Cleveland, Ohio. SML was one of the finest saxophone producers in the world and their saxophones are very special instruments. They did not produce very large numbers of saxophones, thus they are quite rare and hard to find. This soprano is a wonderful example of SML craftsmanship and is in very nice condition. The sax has some minor lacquer wear and scratches throughout the body but overall it is in very nice shape. The pads are an older set but are still in good condition, please see the photos. This sax has been in storage for several years, I would recommend the sax receive a full adjustment and regulation by a sax technician before active playing. Sax includes its original SML mouthpiece! With France cap and ligature! Also includes the original hard shell King soprano case which is in nice condition. This is a very nice French soprano! The new owner will have a very special sax!
