This serial appears that this Bach was manufactured sometime between the 1930s and the 1940s in New York. It is a two-tone silver and Brass model. All the new York models are highly sought after because of the craftsmanship. Being that it’s almost 70-90 years old it has wear and tear on the horn. Personally, I like the finish. It shows the age and history of the horn. The bell also show some signs of slight ripple. I’m not sure if that’s from repair or if someone dinged the bell at one time and then had it repaired or they sat the horn on its bell all the time causing those ripples. The pictures are high-def so you should be able to blow them up and look meticulously at the condition of the finish, the Bell, the valves Etc. I stuffed the bell and blew in the mouth piece pushing all the pistons down and the slides begin to move out so I think it’s a very airtight horn although given it its age it would not be unusual for it to have some corrosion inside that may need to be addressed. It definitely needs to be cleaned. The slides move and are not stuck or frozen. They need to be cleaned and lubricated and probably lightly sanded I cannot attest to wear on the valves but since they are this old I’m sure they have a significant amount of wear on the valves and the interior of the valves that comes with this age. Trumpet needs to be cleaned/serviced. Original case is included and is in very used condition. Springs on locks are broken. Thanks for looking and good luck.
