1971 Olds Recording Trumpet – Rare Factory Silver, Pristine, One Owner. Pristine original condition – never replated or restored. This horn was used only for 3 years in high school and 1 semester at Oklahoma State University. It has been played only very occasionally since 1977 – nearly 44 years. All valves and slides move smoothly. Silverplate is 100% – this horn has spent its entire life resting on anti-tarnish cloths as shown in the pics to prevent case rash. The finish is bright and lustrous. There is no plating loss and no tarnish. Minimal fine scratches only. The serial number documents production in mid-1971. The horn will come in its original factory case, which is in excellent condition, and no old horn smell. Documentation provided with the horn includes the special finish order card from Olds, proving that this is a factory silverplate trumpet. This is a rare opportunity to obtain a remarkably original Recording in factory silver, accompanied by documentation. I hate to part with my pride and joy, but want someone who can appreciate a fine, vintage instrument to use it as its makers intended.
