My dad played all sorts of wind instruments in three local groups, including a concert band. One of the groups said they needed a trumpet player because they had too many wind players can you believe it! So my father bought this and “tried” to cover the brass part. But A for effort. I believe this is Bb “student” trumpet – when I inherited this last year, I thought I would try to play it, but I’m a fiddle player and it’s not going to happen. I would say he bought this? He was always good about servicing his instruments. The finish on this trumpet is so beautiful that it’s too shiny to take great pictures. The print that I tried to zoom in on says “Verve, ” “TRV-100, ” “Made in China, ” and then the serial number I have in the title. I tried to upload a video of the action of the valves but it’s not working – the first 2 (closest to the mouthpiece) are very smooth and the third is smooth but sticks halfway down sometimes, not hard but I would guess it needs the valve oil he has in the case.
