This sax was built by C. It has been with me the past 17 years and has been through a lot. It is a road warrior! The condition is good and it plays great in all the registers. It was repaired last year when I went to Europe to play an engagement. It was silver plated at some point by the previous owner. The octave key thumb rest was replaced. I had a second neck strap ring installed. This way the player adjust the height when playing. The right hand thumb rest was replaced with a new style one similar to Yamaha or Selmer. It has the rolled tone holes. The pads are leather with metal resonators. The sound this sax makes is amazing. The saxophone blends with other instruments and vocalists just great. It has been around more than 90 years and a gorgeous golden brown patina that now shines through the silver color. It comes with a well worn Reunion Blues Continental case. You can see in the pictures, it has a tear on the outside. Also the pouch on the outside is torn. The main zippers on the outside work well. There is a rain jacket that is included. Ask me any questions please. The item “C. G. Conn Tenor Sax 1927 Silver Plated” is in sale since Monday, March 30, 2020.
