Holton 330CC Harvey Phillips Double C Four Piston Professional Tuba. This tuba was designed by the late great Harvey Phillips in collaboration with Holton’s low brass team. Phillips was arguably the greatest tuba advocate, instructor and player in the 20th century. Phillips felt this was a truly remarkable tuba and recommended it for high quality orchestral and band performances. It is a dual bore, four valve piston, front action compact full size tuba with strong projection and a smooth rich full sound. Included is a very heavy duty road case and a Vincent Bach 18 mouthpiece in excellent condition. This tuba is around 19 years old but is in very good condition. Cosmetic blemishes include light surface scratches, pings, normal wear and a few small indentations. The worse can be viewed in the last two photos. As you can see, overall in very good condition. There are no large dents or blaring concerns and most of the lacquer is very nice. It is certainly a tuba you can feel proud to take out of the case. Box address because the size and weight.
