This is a great-playing example of a vintage Chu New Wonder II transitional tenor saxophone manufactured in 1932, #M249XXX, when Conn was manufacturing their greatest saxes. His sax is in well-used condition for it’s age, and it is set up to good playing adjustment with older but still flexible pads, mostly metal dome resonator-type, with necessary replacements. Scratches for it’s age, and some repaired dents in it’s worn vintage relaquer finish. There is a resoldered neck tenon as seen in photos #3, #7 and #8, no effect on the sound. Several resoldered posts including the neck brace, study the photos carefully. This sax blows with a lush vintage sound.
