Bell Brass 3mm Cast 6.5×14 Snare Drum With Tama Hardware Gorgeous! This Cast Bell Brass Snare Drum was recently made (2021) by the same foundry that made the Limited Bell Brass Snare Drums for DW. You didnt think DW made them, did you? They dont have the resources or specialized skills. This one was made with the same specs as the Tama Bell Brass snare drums of the 80s and 90s, 3mm thick shell and sharp bearing edges. The lugs are the same as the ones on my 90s Tama Bell Brass snare drum and I installed Tamas newest throw off and butt plate the ones used on the Tama reissue Tama Bell Brass snare drums. It even has Tama snare wires. Die cast hoops finish off this beauty. This Cast Bell Brass Snare Drum sounds as good as my 90s Tama Bell Brass! It can be played loud or softly and has great sensitivity. This beast of a snare weights in almost 18lbs! TAMA Snare drum Bell brass 3mm 14 × 6.5 PL565. This is TAMA’s snare drum PL565. I remember it was a vintage 90’s. Bell brass 14×6.5 inches, 10 tensions. I used to use it mainly for recording as a studio musician in the past, but I will sell it because it is not good to keep it asleep. I think it is a model known as a legendary instrument in the history of Tama. When you show it to your drum friends, you can almost always see it with envy It s not only beautiful, but It produces a gorgeous sound that is clearly different from other materials. It’s a very deep sound, not an unpleasant one that pierces your ears. I was mainly in the pop music field, but I think I can play an active role in any genre. The shell is 3mm machined from bell brass (please note that it is quite heavy), and although there are small scratches, I think that it is a pretty beautiful person considering the age. I think it was originally a model with a bell brass hoop, but it wasn’t there when I got it second hand around 2000… All hoops and bolts have been replaced with brass. Snappy is Ludwig’s vintage. This is came out of pawn, and it appears to be a Tama Praetorian Warlord Bell Brass snare drum. It has “Star-Cast” zinc hoops and a “Starclassic” wire. Overall it’s in excellent condition, but one of its sections has two scratches which you can see above. Other than that, there are no issues. It comes just by itself, I don’t have a case for it. Tama 6.5×14 (Japan) PL565N Bell Brass br. With Bell Brass Hoops from 2003. Of course, this is a sand cast, 3mm finished, bronze shell and its part of Tamas legendary bell brass lineup known for extreme sensitivity and power at low, mid, and high tunings. It has all ORIGINAL hardware in mint condition, no pitting, no scuffs, no scratches, etc. The chrome is essentially perfect. The original steel snappies are included, but the drum has added original era bell brass snappies too. It may even have the original heads; see the 2003 Tama catalog, p. I bought this drum in 2015 and I have literally never played a single note on it, ever. Ive simply kept it on display in my collection. However, I have two of these 03-vintages and now Id like to diversify my collection a bit. The extraordinary quality of these Tama bronze drums is undeniable in-person. They are arguably some of the greatest snare drums ever made, and even Tama doesnt make them like this anymore. As many know, 2003 is the very last year that Tama made these highly coveted drums adorned with bell brass hoops; its the end of an era in my opinion (except for the 2005 Starclassic bronze snare drums). This 2003 drums bell brass shell and hoops are in excellent condition as the photos reveal. This drum has been sitting untuned without any tension on the lugs (finger tight only) and the snappies have been kept loose. Over time, the clear lacquer coat on these bronze drums tend to show dirt, oil, grease, grime, etc. Due to bare hands touching/rubbing against them frequently. That said; I do not ever touch my bronze drums with bare hands, only soft clean cotton towels. Too often, the dark spots that can form on these drums are due to touching them, not actual patina of the bronze. This drum is very clean, near mint. Its a truly well-preserved and beautiful example of the highest forms of craftsmanship in snare drum design and manufacturing. I ask that potential buyers looking for an everyday gigging or beat it up drum, look elsewhere. This drum should and can be well preserved and cherished even WHILE being played. Id hate for it to be bought, abused, and unappreciated. Please, only send serious inquiries. I will not sell the drum for less than it deserves. Owning one of these drums is truly fulfilling for a drummer; I hope that anyone willing to pay for one will take good care of it.
