This beautiful 1954 Los Angeles Ambassador cornet appears to have been well cared for. Plays freely with great intonation. There are a few minor dings and imperfections, and lacquer wear that has been hand polished. The whole bell is polished bare brass. NO DEEP DENTS OR BENDS. The bell shows evidence of well done repair. The braces at the valve casings have been re-soldered. The valves show wear, but play great – matching serial numbers. Valves and slides move smoothly. Lubed with Ultra Pure Black Label Classic valve oil and Conn/Selmer tuning slide grease. Good compression for it’s age. Valve caps and bottoms screw on/off smoothly. Valves aligned with new valve cap felts and n ew water key corks installed. Includes Olds 3C mouthpiece, Winston wah mute, straight mute, lyre and Olds case.
