This is a rare fine-playing example of a Selmer Mark VI baritone saxophone #94XXX manufactured in Paris, France in 1961 with it’s original worn laquer finish. Pads are around midlife, some older, mostly plastic dome resonator-type, still flexible with life left and t. His sax is set up to good playing adjustment. There are scattered shallow dents throughout the sax, please study the photos carefully. Repaired 1-inch hairline crack on the seam on the top bow as seen in photo #7, works perfectly. No effect on the great sound. Range is low Bb to high F. This sax blows very easily and freely with a solid characteristic vintage edge, focus and presence. The D# guard and posts appear to be Selmer replacements, the work is solid and the guard functions perfectly.
