Lawler Handmade Professional Trumpet with Vintage Case. I first heard of Roy Lawler in the mid 1990’s when a new hire for the summer who was a grad student in trumpet performance let me play his. I was sooooo impressed. I have since owned five of his trumpets and each one has blown me away. It is sad that he is devoting all of his time now to trombones because he certainly knows how to make a great trumpet. You will love the feel and the trumpet responds very nicely. The sound is lively but very warm with a fair amount of focus. It is hard to imagine any professional level player not loving this horn. It is raw brass and will turn to a dark brown patina unless you hand polish it. I have done a lot of that to show you its potential however I believe the natural aged patina of raw brass is pretty cool. There are a few pings or real small indentations but nothing large or blaring. It is a trumpet you can feel proud to take out of the case and I believe you will love playing this one! Included is a vintage King case from the early 1970’s. It is in rough condition but has potential and does hold the Lawler ok. Vintage Eastlake King Silver Flair Professional Trumpet. This is certainly one of the very best trumpets King has ever made and an american classic in the professional trumpet world. The blow is wonderful, and I believe you will love the. The valves have a nice feel with strong compression. The trigger is smooth and function as are all the slides. The trumpet has just been ultrasonically cleaned and is ready to enjoy. Included is the original case which shows a lot of wear but does hold the trumpet nicely. The silver plating is very nice and there are no large dents. There is evidence of dent removal in the back of the bough and small indentations. Please see the last photo that shows this. Very Rare 1969 M Series Conn 73 Professional Bass Trombone

This trombone has been in my family for a long time. I’m looking to sell it since I rarely (if ever) play a bass trombone anymore. It has a spring at first position to ensure fast action when moving the slide as well as threaded rotor valves to have seamless and silent movement. This trombone was made in 1969 which is known by collectors as one of the best years for the Conn instrument manufacturing. The indication for this is the M one the serial number of the bass trombone. The 73H is similar to the 62H: it is a bass trombone, dual rotor. The difference with the 62H is that the 73H has a regular brass bell as opposed to the 62H’s red brass bell, and the 73H has the main tuning slide in the bell, whereas the 62H’s main tuning slide is in the slide. The 73H has the same #5 (0.562) bore as the 62H. Like the 62H, it was produced from at least 1968 to 1972, and was probably discontinued sometime between 1973 and 1980. In a 1969 ad featuring the 60H, 62H, 71H and 73H, Conn says: We have just created the 4 finest bass trombones in the world… What Conn said in the 1970’s. Has special double rotors to F and E. The double rotor bass trombone with second rotor E tuning eliminates the need to pull the F slide to play low B, and maintains the advantage of have C and F in 1st position. The instrument not only has all the advantages of single rotor bass trombones pitched in Bb and F, but also by using the overtone series of the E valve, the player has three horns in one: Bb, F and E. The double rotor bass trombone with Bb open horn, first rotor F tuning and second rotor D tuning is the most practical combination for all types of playing the bass trombonist is likely to encounter, and simplifies the most intricate passages. To play a chromatic scale, the player need not go past the 5th position. Lustre-Conn finish over polished brass with nickel trim. Cylindrical bore 0.562.
