1947 Conn 10M Naked Lady Tenor Saxophone, Rolled Tone Holes
Photos are 2500 X 2500. Serial number 320520 dates the horn to 1947. Old lacquer refinish has scratches but overall is in good condition. The refinish was well done. Careful buffing left the tone holes undamaged and the engraving crisp and sharp (for a refin). Pads are soft, not discolored or deteriorated, but are old. I don’t play sax so I can’t comment further the pad’s condition. Best to assume the pads need replacing. The body has some very small, shallow dings, nothing large or deep. The neck is a little worse. It has small dents as well, the octave key posts are slightly pushed in, and the angle has been bent lower, either on purpose or from damage. Are engraved in small font below the serial number. The case smells pretty bad, otherwise in excellent condition. It appears to be old but not old enough to be original. Includes sax and case. This is a beautiful and great sounding vintage professional Buescher 400 Tenor saxophone. They don’t make them this grand anymore. The keys all work and the sax plays well. A case is included. The case has wear, but it still protects the saxophone well. The latches and hinges work fine. It’s a really gorgeous sax with original lacquer. The lacquer is rubbed off in certain areas from normal playing (see detailed pictures), but the saxophone still looks and plays beautifully. I hate to part with this wonderful horn, but I just don’t play it much anymore. It’s time for someone else to enjoy this great musical instrument. Serial number 436513; year of manufacture: 1965. I will be adding more pics later today. Martin Indiana Tenor Saxophone RMC Badge Early 60’s, Silver Keys. Neck and Horn have matching serial numbers. Overall in good playable shape. I would probably bring it is for a check up. All the keys are working, no sticking and all the springs are in good shape and still have a lot of life. All the bumpers are in place and are in good condition. The pads are still soft and appear to be still sealing. There is pitting and wear on the lacquer but most of it is still there. Some dings and small dents , normal wear for a players Sax. The case is a little rough some chipping on the corners but still solid. Still very playable with some well earned wear.
