OLDS Recording Model Trumpet. This vintage horn is made in Fullerton California by F. The serial number dates this horn to 1965. This horn has some wear from age and I’ve called it good condition, though it could possibly be rated higher than that by some when considering its age. It does have pitting and finish flaking in some places more than others. I have provided many photos. I have played it as well as a sax player can play a trumpet, and though it needs TLC, the 3 piston valves, and all the tuning slides including the trigger one, are functional and free. I believe this has the original case. Also included are a couple of mouthpieces. One is an old Olds mouthpiece (I think cannot see but looks like some other Olds mouthpieces I’ve had) and a Vincent Bach Corp. Both are in fairly worn condition. I imagine anyone getting this horn would use their own mouthpiece so really they are just extras. That said see the photos and let me know if you got questions. #main showroom Olds Recording Trumpet.
For your consideration is a vintage 1950’s Vincent Bach Mercedes model Mt. Vernon brass trumpet with a hard shell case included. According to information available on bachbrass. Com, this trumpet would land somewhere between 1955 to 1960 for production based on the serial number (14750). This also puts it in the correct era for production in Mt. Vernon, NY as they moved from NYC in 1953. This trumpet is in mostly good cosmetic condition with only a couple areas showing wear (see photos) and a possible re-lacquer occurring at some point in it’s past. Along with this, the valves are not properly leveled out and would need reset. A simple Selmer hard shell plastic trumpet case is included with this trumpet and is in functional shape but does have small cosmetic afflictions. For example, the inner felt and mouthpiece slot section are worn out. That being said, the trumpet, mouthpiece, and accessories are still secured when closed. Exterior plastic sections are good with no punctures or breaks, but are scuffed and metal sections are rusted slightly. Take advantage in owning a great vintage trumpet project at a lowered price! Thanks for your consideration! If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Ray’s Midbell Music Mission. Ray’s Midbell Music is a full-service school music dealer located in Sioux City, IA. Used Silver Bach Stradivarius Bass Trumpet Model 440 made in Elkhart, Indiana. Bach hard shell case. Uses small shank size trombone mouthpiece.
Vintage Conn 22B Bb Trumpet – 1946/1947 “Late Model” in excellent playing condition. Finish is worn in a few places, a couple of minor dings, and no red rot around the water keys, with nothing that affects the playability of this trumpet. Features the “clickless” valves that were common in the Conns of the 1930s-1940s. Trumpet was recently serviced, and lubricated. Everything that is supposed to move does so freely. Water keys have been freshly recorked. Played it at band rehearsal a few weeks ago, it has a nice mellow sound that really opens up when you put the air to it. This was what the professionals played back in the day. When Bud Herseth joined the Chicago Symphony in 1948, he was playing a Conn 22B. Comes with the original case, an aluminum straight mute, and a Vincent Bach 7C mouthpiece.
