This is the flagship model in our range of trumpets. Huge sound, flexibility, super wide dynamic range and such a cool look. Its an ML bore horn that is. Brand new Taylor Chicago Standard in matte lacquer. Bell is scratch brushed underneath the matte lacquer. This stunning horn is a heavy beast with a huge bell and extra large bore. It has a smooth, creamy, enormous sound that will delight balladeers and soloists. The red brass bell gives you even more warmth, and the valves move extremely fast with a slightly short throw. Comes with original JP Pro double case. The benchmark for what could be referred to as the heavy horn brigade. It has the same internal tapers as the Chicago Lite so it is a comfortable easy responsive blow just like the Lite. Unlike some trumpets purporting to be heavyweights, the Standard (and the Custom) are not regular horns dressed up with weights attached. These are built from the outset with heavier gauge material, so the weight is where it should be, in the body and construction of the instrument. In a nutshell. Built properly and built to last. The Standard has a bit more dynamic range and power over the Lite. You can wind this thing up and it will never get brittle and course. It will keep its thick core sound and just get louder. One thing for sure, it will take however much’air’ you can throw at it. This makes it a great choice for jazz quartet or quintet. Sexy soft tones and this horn can be’punch in the face loud’ when you need to step on the volume pedal. Comes with heavy upper and lower valve caps. A sight to see and PLAY! Chicago 46 II Standard. 5.75 Red brass. Bell is scratch brushed and matte lacquer, body is matte lacquer. Yes, JP Pro double case.

This is a very rare Martin Standard Bb Trumpet Bell. Please note the silver under the laq. This is a very rare, solid Nickle Silverl variant. These were used on a select few trumpets and have an absolutely extraordinary tone. Feather light and would be an amazing addition to any build. There are just a few dings and scuffs. The finish is fair. This won’t last. The tail is trauma free and straight.
Profession Raw Brass Bb C Trumpet w/D2H MouthPiece (Monette STyle). I got the horn. I’m gonna tell you like this. I used to work for Sam Ash Music in Manhattan, one of the biggest music stores in the country. I have played on all types of horns. I even had I custom made Bach. I have played every kind of Monette currently available. I used to use the Monette B2 mouthpiece (Same kind as Wynton Marsalis). I have even played one of Wynton’s old horns. If all of your horns play as well as the one that I have now, you have a customer for LIFE!!! I hope sincerely that your prices do not change before I have a chance to get another Bb, a C trumpet, a Cornet and a Flugel from you guys! …. And maybe a picc trumpet (though I don’t play much piccolo). Take a Full, Relaxed Breath Air is the fuel brass players use to make music. The more efficient, open, and complete you breathe, the more complete your sound will be and the less you will have to work when playing. One of the easiest ways to better utilize your lung capacity and breath easier is to simply align your body, thus eliminating most of the tension that constricts the breath. The science of Yoga is a more than 3,000-year-old practice of making your body more aligned and resonant, a major key to improved performance in any field. Ask for “Mountain Pose” or “Corpse Pose” for starters, and don’t be shy about asking for one-on-one help. This practice will immediately help to make your breath more effortless and complete. Charles Schlueter has said many times that there is an inverse relationship between the amount of air used when playing and the amount of effort needed to effectively make music. More air = less work, and less air = more work! The next two on my list are the Copper-belled Cornet and Flugel you have. I will start saving up. And, many people in NYC will be hearing this horn. I played tonight and people are already asking if you make French Horns and Baritones and Trombones. So, hopefully I can send you some more business. The mouthpiece is a great replica.
