NEW PRICE Duo Gravis Bass Trombone King 6B Dual Dependant triggers 10 Bell

It is time for me to thin the herd, My wife may be right that a retired Army bandsman probably doesn’t need three bass trombones. I still have a dual trigger and my dance band custom that I assembled so I should be ok. This came back from the shop last week with a full sonic cleaning, adjustments and lube to all tuning and hand slides. Lube and adjustments to the valves, restrung and working at 100%. It received a clean bill of health from my brass guy John. This King an excellent player player normal lightscratching and signs of wear, but in very nice overall shape. I did not find any obvious dents, inner slide stockings are pristine. Slide is a good 9 out of 10. A couple of small spots on the outer bell flare under the lacquer. Lacquer looks like 90% A very presentable Early Duo Gravis with a four digit serial number, 970x, which according to my repair tech makes it a very early Duo Gravis. I played one in a National guard band for a very wide range of playing styles from brass choir to Dance Band. This one is in good condition. It has an interesting in-line rotor configuration, where the F and Gb triggers are both operated by the left thumb. The hand hold shows a bit of wear complete with a discolored area. The Slide is very good and this horn is great to play. This Bass trombone is ideal for advanced students that are looking to acquire a gigging bass trombone, or the budding professional that needs a reliable bass trombone. I have a video on YouTube not very good but you can hear it! Go to YOUTUBE search for img 2460 duo gravis. It has a nice rigid Protec International case, (NOT A GIG BAG) very protective but only 16 pounds with the horn. The case is missing a shoulder strap. I never had it but did not miss it. This is a 1983 King 2b+ 2115 yellow brass bell trombone. The horn has a fair number of blemishes, scratches, a few bare patches as pictured…. The tuning slide has evidence of of dent repair. Serial number 924xxx on the bell section. It doesnt have the counterweight. The slide has had a recent slide job and it plays light and fast. The horn plays light, bright, open and fast. Very nice King 1055t “player” in very good condition from the early seventies, serial 470, xxx. Definitely not a museum piece; it’s without a case, has a few flaws, could use some silver polish and maybe new valve rubber, but MAN is it a great playing horn that I’ve priced accordingly! Please look at my pics carefully, as I’ve done my best to show any flaws. The leadpipe appears to be clean w/o issues. Valves are smooth and fast. V1 has some plating wear and small amount of compression loss. V2 and V3 are both excellent (using Al Cass oil). Some plating wear on bottom caps is all I can find. Corrosion on valve stems (can’t figure that one out). Few small scratches and “flea bites” that don’t show up in pics. One-inch very shallow crease line on bell (see last pic). King Liberty Silver Tone Cornet Long Bell 1940 Sterling Silver Bell Case & MP

White SilverTone long bell model #1069 Bb cornet with an excellent non-original case. Included is a Bach #7 silver-plated mouthpiece in good condition. The serial number 238363 manufactured in Cleveland, Ohio dates to 1940. The bore size measured on the 2nd valve slide measures. The bell diameter measures 4.65. If you do your research as you should you will find that most of the pro trumpet player blogs compare this vintage model horn favorably. The instrument plays remarkably well yielding big bold sound with excellent intonation qualities. For a cornet without intonation adjustments such as a 1st valve thumb saddle, trigger or a 3rd valve finger ring adjustment the horn plays remarkably in tune. The instrument has been chem cleaned and thoroughly cleaned inside and out. The horn was ultrasonically cleaned as well. All new valve stem corks and felts. Excellent valve speed and compression. There are no missing or non original parts on this horn. The old lacquer was removed, the few dings it had were gently removed. After the thorough cleaning the body of the horn was then re-lacquered with a baked-on epoxy lacquer. The sterling silver bell was not re-lacquered as it is my personal opinion that the inherent gorgeous sound produced by the infamous bell would be compromised by lacquering same. The excellent condition vintage Conn Connqueror cornet case has been cleaned inside and out and sanitized/disinfected with a hospital grade solution. No odors to worry about. The included Bach #7 cornet mouthpiece is in good condition with evidence of some shank wear. The mouthpiece rim is in excellent condition. There are no keys to the case. The horn is clean, shiny, sanitized, valves oiled, slides lubricated and ready to play right out of the box. Also included: An Ultra Pure Oils Deluxe Trumpet Care Kit, a jar of Wrights silver polish, a 4oz bottle of lacquer polish spray, and a very handy Ultra Pure Oils brand silver polishing cloth. White Co King Liberty 2B Trombone Serial # 277248. That Ive had from his estate years ago. Its been packed up and stored away. Its in its original carrying alligator hard case that has some issues with the handle and other areas that comes with age. It also have other items, such as; music books, oil, mouth piece etc. Since Im no expert on Trombone I took it to a Music store to get the condition evaluated. CONDITION: they did not see any dents when playing it, and recommended a chemical clean. There are a couple small dents shown in photos. They said its a really good Trombone for its age. White Altonium Marching French Horn! F with Eb Slide Change (Pictured). 418011 Crafted in 1965. Finish: Clear baked on lacquer. Case: Yes, HN White Manufactured. The alto-tone of the Altonium adds sparkle and brilliance in the open air. It blends in the perfectly with the other bell-front brasses and brings out the usually weak inner voices. The Altonium is the perfect marching substitute for the French Horn. The tone is rich and mellow yet possesses much power and resonance. With a mouthpiece about twice as large as the French Horn, it does not require as delicate embouchure and produces a good tone even with a fast cadence. The trumpet-type valves on this King creation permit the player to finger as fast as smaller brasses. -White Way News Catalog #21, 1965. For sale by The H. White Company LLC, this magnificent King Altonium is one of the most unique horns made by The H. Even today this Altonium is so much easier to carry than a modern marching French horn. This is a King 3B trombone with F attachment. It has been recently serviced and plays well. The slide is pretty smooth, about an 8.5 out of 10 and the rotary valve works fine. There are some dents, dings, finish wear, and solder repairs. It will be a good horn for an advancing student or adult musician without breaking the bank on a new horn.
