Bell Brass 3mm Cast 6.5×14 Snare Drum With Tama Hardware Gorgeous! This Cast Bell Brass Snare Drum was recently made (2021) by the same foundry that made the Limited Bell Brass Snare Drums for DW. You didnt think DW made them did you? They dont have the resources or specialized skill. This one was made with the same specs as the Tama Bell Brass snare drums of the 80s and 90s, 3mm thick shell and sharp bearing edges. The lugs are the same as the ones on my 90s Tama Bell Brass snare drum and I installed Tamas newest throw off and butt plate the ones used on the Tama reissue Tama Bell Brass snare drums. It even has Tama snare wires. Die cast hoops finish off this beauty. This Cast Bell Brass Snare Drum sounds as good as my 90s Tama Bell Brass! It can be played loud or softly and has great sensitivity. This beast of a snare weights in almost 18lbs! This listing is for an Eb alto saxophone made by the King Corporation of Eastlake, Ohio. It is the famous “Super 20″ model. The serial number is in the 502XXX series placing production in the early 1970s. The “Super 20″ was King’s profession model top-line instruments. These saxes were known for being well-built with great tone quality, intonation and response. Many professional jazz players use this model for its dark tone. This instrument would be suitable for pros and advancing students. The finish is original and shows some normal wear. It has no solders or dent work meaning it has not been abused. This instrument has been through our shop and we replace many original pads and key corks. The keywork is tight. We regulated the adjustments and this is ready-to-play. Don’t pass on this sax and with proper care it will only appreciate in value. Included in this outfit is a Pro-Tec case with straps and a neck strap. Vintage King 3B Concert Silver Sonic trombone with gold plated bell. This was a find at a local shop, so I do not know the individual history of this horn. Although Im a musician, Im not a brass expert and my knowledge of vintage jazz trombones is pretty limited beyond knowing that this is a desirable horn that really needed a better home. The horn seems to be in very good condition with light use, despite its age. There are a few sins and scratches, but nothing major – the largest (by far) is about the size of a pea, and is pictured in detail. I wiped it down a bit and greased the slide, but otherwise it is as-found. The silver, brass, and gold bell all look great. I would say finish/cosmetics are about a 9/10. Some signs of normal/light wear in the usual spots. The slide is nice and smooth. Seems perfect from my woodwind perspective – no bumps or issues. The tuning slide is also in good shape with no issues. The weighted King emblem can be easily disassembled, smoothly, with no problems. The lock is in excellent condition. The water key is also in excellent condition. The gold plated bell plated on top of the silver? A couple light scratches from a stand or mute, but thats it. It comes in what I presume to be the original king case, which is in excellent condition. Green velvet interior (8/10) and brown leather exterior (8/10). There is no mouthpiece included. Overall I would describe the instrument as pristine and extremely clean for its age. It looks like it was well cared for and sat mostly unplayed for many years. Again, Im a musician (hs/college band director) but not a brass expert. The pictures are part of the description. This instrument is as-is, as-found, and the sale will be final. 1964 Gold Medal Tenor Saxophone Mk. 1 W/rolled Tone Holes – Excellent. This sax is a Mach 1 Gold Medal edition Strasser Marigaux Lemaire (SML)… Has been recently serviced and is sealing beautifully. This is a relacquered saxophone and had also been overhauled a number of years ago – pads are in very good condition. For those who are not familiar with SML saxophones, I would highly recommend reading up on them as they are one of the best French-made saxophones ever. There are some scratches and a couple of minor dimples… It is a used saxophone. Note – you will see lacquer missing on the lower stack back side where one of the posts had to be shifted as swedging was not an option and there was too much play. SBA 48xxx as rare as it gets. This horn is in 99-100% original US lacquer and Elkhart engraving. It has original resonators and a truly wonderful playing setup with quite new pads etc. It needs nothing and is ready for the gig out of the case. There are only minor dings and scratches to be found, no repairs that I could find, wonderful responsive neck with original matching number. The pearls are brand-new sharp, the case is old and the zipper does not work but it is sturdy. The response is exceptionally fast and fluid and the sound is very warm and kind of bouncy and expansive while still being focused as SBAs are. This is a very loud and open feeling SBA, yet definitely not of the later design that feels a bit more like a MK VI, this is not at all like a MK VI.
