The body of the Trumpet is in great shape and has no deep scratches. All slides operate smoothly. The valves are super fast (like new) with no apparent loss of air pressure. All of slides are stamped with the appropriately matched serial numbers. This trumpet has new oven baked on lacquer (95% perfect). The gold wash inside the bell is 99.9% perfect. The engraving is crisp and easy to see. The trumpet is in good shape and has no deep scratches or large dents. All slides are stamped with the appropriately matched serial numbers. THEY WERE MADE BY REAL EUROPEAN INSTRUMENT MAKERS WHO HAD MANGED TO SURVIVE THE WAR. THEY WERE MADE BY BOHM & MEINL WHO MADE WONDERFUL TUBAS IN THE 1950’S. THEY WERE CONSIDERED A HIGH LEVEL INSTRUMENT. PRE-OWNED IN EXCELLENT PLAYING CONDITION AND GOOD COSMETIC CONDITION. THE TROMBONE HAS A DARK GOLDEN LACQUER FINISH WITH LACQUER WEAR AROUND THE HORN BELL ASSEMBLY AND THE VALVE ASSEMBLY. The round, lyrical sound of this King Master Model reveals its true beauty. The tones are pure and clearfrom a velvet softness to a bell-like brilliance. The traditional cornet lines, with gently sweeping mouthpipe, insure the rich sound. Combine this beauty and tone quality with truly rugged construction, and you have an instrument worthy of the name King. You play relaxed, and know this King Cornet will deliver all that you ask. Solid Sterling Silver Bell responds instantly, gives precise control, projects farther. White Company LLC, this magnificent Cornet with its solid sterling silver bell is in remarkable shape for its age. This cornet has been restored. The finish is new bake on lacquer which has better durability. The valves perform perfect and are super responsive. All slides are stamped with the appropriately matched serial numbers and fit perfect so there is no loss of air pressure. This cornet has new clear sprayed on lacquer which is rated at 98% perfect. The engraving is perfect. The gold wash is new 99% perfect. There are no large dents. There is one very small ding in the bell flair. There was some pitting on the exterior of the number three valve, see pictures. All slides operate smoothly. The springs are new. All the slides and valves are stamped with the appropriate serial numbers. Comes with original lyre and cleaning rod. The cornet comes in its original Gladstone style case. The HN White made Gladstone case is one of our favorites and this one looks great but has some issues. The handle was replaced. The case straps are intact but very week. Someone pulled of the top and we have glued it back on, see pictures. The interior of the case is in excellent shape but is missing its King name badge. We do not recommend that this case be used with day to day activities. This Cornet sounds great with its mellow full tone that you can only get with a solid sterling silver bell. Vintage Conn 18B Director Coprion Bell Trumpet with Case & Mouthpiece 1955

This vintage Conn 18B trumpet is in good playing condition as is and has plenty of life left to live. The serial number, 515895, dates it to 1955. It has had repairs in the past, including on the bell flare and bow. The lacquer is mostly down to raw brass and has a nice patina; remaining lacquer is dark colored, but will probably be short lived. All slides function well. The valves are very quick, smooth, and overall compression is not bad, age considering. The original case is included and is functional. A Herco mouthpiece is also included. CASE : Yes; functional condition but does have wear and tear from past use. Mouthpiece :Yes; Herco mouthpiece is included. Nice condition on the cup / rim. The shank has plating loss and is not completely round, but nothing to greatly affect playability. No size markings, but it is quite shallow. NOTES : Lots of cosmetic wear and previous dent repair on this 18B. Plays great as-is and still holds up to the early Conn reputation. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Valves move freely and has an Olds #3 mouthpiece and Olds note holder as well as the Olds carrying case. Could use polishing, cleaning, and going through from sitting. The front ide valves. The two smaller rear slides dont and would need cleaning. The three valves have matching numbers the same as the serial number. This vintage FE Olds Mendez trumpet is from the private collection of esteemed jazz trumpeter Ryan Kisor. As a native to Sioux City, IA, it has been a privilege to serve Ryan and his family for many years. We consider it a great honor to offer several items of his personal collection for sale on our Reverb page. Overall, this instrument is in great condition. The serial number, 281296, dates it to 1958. Cosmetically, it the silver plating is in mint condition. The deluxe bell engraving is crisp and clear. The valves are quick and slides are smooth. Compression is great, age considered, and the horn plays nicely. The valve plating is in good condition, with minor staining, and all serial numbers match. The first valve trigger is loose and, although it doesn’t greatly affect functionality, should be resoldered / replaced. Aside from that, this is a great playing condition horn and has plenty of life left to give. If you want to see a picture of anything specific or have any questions at all, do not hesitate to ask. I’ve owned and played the horn for around three years but just not getting the use these days so time for someone who will play it to have it. I had a mechanical restoration including all pads done 2 years ago by Tim’s Music in Sacramento. They did a first class job and it plays well. Lacquer is in good shape – usual player wear. Engraving is clear and sharp. Its got a really nice tone and blows freely throug all registers. Its in the original Conn case.
