Selmer Modele 22 Tenor Saxophone #31XX, 1925, Silver Plated, Nice, Plays Great

This is a rare fine-playing example of a Selmer Modele 22 tenor saxophone #32XX manufactured in Paris, France in 1925, in original silver plate. Pads are older but still flexible, and t. His sax is set up to good playing adjustment. Aftermarket front high F key added as seen in photo #6, works perfectly. Normal wear and scratching on it’s silver plated finish but few bumps or small dents. This sax blows very evenly with a solid and strong characteristic Selmer core throughout the entire range. 1953 Selmer Paris Super Balanced Action Alto Professional Saxophone with Orig Case

Closeted since the 60s. All the original pieces are with this item: sax body, mouthpiece, clamps, neck strap and case. Photos also include a Brilhart 4 Tomalin mouthpiece that is not included in this listing. I apologize, I took the photos a few months ago and hadn’t thought to take it out. However, we do have this mouthpiece for sale. I took this in for maintenance for my middle schooler to play and the music shop was astounded by the condition of this item. They wanted to trade me a new instrument, but we’ve decided to sell it. They did not recommend this for our daughter as it is a professional playing instrument. The shop replaced a few of the pads and the corking at the mouthpiece. They did recommend it would need to have new pads. The saxophone is in incredible condition, but the case did not fair so well. It has some cracks and splitting and smells old, but it is available. We would like to sell this to someone who is close enough to meet us, see it for yourself and play it. Professional Model with 1st Valve Slide Trigger. I want to see this Trumpet go to a Professional Trumpet Player. This is a wonderful playing instrument. The blow is more open than the average Medium-Large bore. However, slotting is solid and secure compared to other horns with an open blow. It has a wonderful warm sound I call it French. On the bottom side of the mouthpiece receiver, there is an “M” stamp. One tiny ding on leadpipe which is very difficult to see. Plating loss in normal wear areas.
