This listing is for an Eb alto saxophone made by the King Corporation of Eastlake, Ohio. It is the famous “Super 20″ model. The serial number is in the 502XXX series placing production in the early 1970s. The “Super 20″ was King’s profession model top-line instruments. These saxes were known for being well-built with great tone quality, intonation and response. Many professional jazz players use this model for its dark tone. This instrument would be suitable for pros and advancing students. The finish is original and shows some normal wear. It has no solders or dent work meaning it has not been abused. This instrument has been through our shop and we replace many original pads and key corks. The keywork is tight. We regulated the adjustments and this is ready-to-play. Nice playing condition Martin Committee III Alto Saxophone on offer. The horn plays in very good adjustment from low Bb to Nigh F with good, modern tan leather pads with plastic domed resonators. SN: 182619 dates the horn to 1953 and both the horn and mouthpipe (neck) have matching serial numbers. The horn body itself has presents a well worn non-original lacquer and has some minor dings and dents on the bow, with some resoldered key guards/posts and past dent work. The right-hand thumbrest is fully functional and adjustable. The neck is in overall excellent shape with a lot of lacquer wear through to the brass. However, the neck and body form an excellent, tight fit and operate as originally intended. Thanks for looking and feel free to ask any questions/price is firm. Bach Mt. Vernon Bb Stradivarius Trumpet, vintage, 1950s, silver plated

Vernon Stradivarius # 18060. This horn is in very good shape with plenty of compression. Theres some outer wear on the leadpipe, but do not believe it is red rot. Theres also a small area of wear on the 1st valve casing where it appears a first valve slide trigger was added then removed (not a patch). The valves are original and are very smooth. The first bottom valve cap does not appear to be original and the valve top finger buttons have been replaced, but I do have the originals and will send. The valves have recently been aligned by Bob Reeves. The 3rd valve slide also works great. Also, not sure of the exact manufacturing date. I was told it was a 54 when I bought it, but further research leads me to believe it might be closer to a 1959. Overall, an excellent playing trumpet with a great sound and good intonation.
