Olds Model 1004G 4 Valve Rotary Tuba. Used instrument that comes as shown in the pictures so please view them closely. All valves and slides seem to move freely. The instrument cosmetically has various dings, dents, scratches and some loss of the finish. There is an old repair on the bell where a brass plate has been soldered on. There is also a crease which has split open and goes completely through the metal. By purchasing , you are agreeing to these terms. No case or mouthpiece for this instrument. Used tuba in F with 4 rotary valves. The instrument is inused condition, and needs some care. There are bents at the bell and 2 soldery places at the braces are lose. (please make sure you see all pictures). The slides are moveable and “Plopping”. The valves are moving easy and fast. The bell reads “Amati Kraslice” Size of the horn is approx. Good model 2341 BBb concert tuba from KING MUSICAL INSTRUMENT CO. Serial number 513,957 (1975 – 1976). FOUR piston valves, valves still good, showing almost no wear at all. Acquired from a school that did not know, so it seems, a good repair shop. Numerous minor dings and dents, now balled and burnished out, worn lacquer finish spot-sprayed to protect the brass. Good player, not perfect, but an honest and straight example. With mouthpiece, no case. 687 inches; 19 inch bell diameter. 100% MADE IN USA! Bubbie 5′ is a super compact tuba ideal for travelling, practice and fun! A completely new original design, this tuba replaces Wessex’Bubbie 1′ which was discontinued in 2014. Fitted with 5 rotary valves, by default the tuba plays in F with the 5th valve being a flat tone to enable to play fully chromatically down to the lowest register. Cleverly, by connecting 5th valve lever to other side of valve and fitting supplied one-tone slide, the air goes through the 5th valve making the tuba play in Eb. Pulling out other valve slides for tuning, the tuba is now an Eb tuba with an ascending 5th valve to still enable to play fully chromatically to lowest register. Sorry, no overseas sales for this item. Up for sale is a Used Besson 785 Compensating Bb Bell Front Tuba. Used as is condition. This tuba was built in England and features the Automatic Compensating System. It is in playing condition but needs a complete internal cleaning and exterior silver polishing to restore the shine. The valves are air tight, the front 3 slides were spray painted silver but we are not sure why. Plating on them may be under the silver paint? The main tuning slide is missing the cross brace. This has an English Shank mouthpiece receiver which is smaller than the traditional US receivers. A standard mouthpiece like a Bach only inserts about ½ inch. English shank tuba mouthpieces are difficult to find and expensive. Most players replace the English Shank mouthpiece receiver with a standard receiver and use the mouthpiece they are accustomed to using. Please refer to the last photo, it gives a brief explanation on the automatic compensating system. Key of Bb Made in England Brass construction with satin silver finish on body and bright silver trim. Inside bell flare was buffed to brass and lacquered. The satin finish looks to be original. Automatic Compensating System 3 upright valves 24 detachable bell front bell. 730 Large Bore 36.5 body length (without bell) 27 total pounds (body and bell) English Shank mouthpiece receiver Mouthpiece is not included.
