E Benge is a unique horn that sounds incredible. This one has been dated to after King purchasing Benge and creating the E-Benge line of horns. The 41 prefix to the 375609 serial number indicates that it is after the factory moved back to Eastlake and was manufactured in 1991. It is in absolutely fantastic shape after an ultrasonic cleaning and trip through our world class repair shop. The horn has normal cosmetic wear like finish scratches and marks. There are no significant dents or dings visible and overall is in amazing condition. It has the original case and envelope with information in the case. This lovely trumpet is a Martin Handcraft Dansant Bb in satin silver finish w/ gold wash bell #96675. It’s in overall very nice shape with few tiny dings, all valves & slides move freely EXCEPT the 2nd slide stuck (have not tried oiling it). There is some plating wear on the 2nd slide and one of the knobs has gone missing. No exterior catches are on the case but center clasp holds for now. Includes Martin 8 mpc with worn rim. Trumpet plays well as-is but would greatly benefit from a good servicing/PC to be in optimal playing condition. Clean, classic oldie ready for a new home! If you’re looking for a well built, affordable student trumpet that plays very well and has proven to withstand the test of time, THIS IS IT. It has flaws, but is priced accordingly. There are a few very minor dings, scratches and imperfections, but all tubing is straight and the lacquer is about 85% tact. NO DEEP DENTS OR BENDS. Valves and slides move smooth and freely – the 3rd valve slide is light and easy – lubed with Ultra Pure Black Label Classic valve oil and Conn-Selmer & Leblanc Slid-Eze slide greases. Good compression for it’s age, but the valves do show wear. Valve caps and bottoms screw on/off smoothly. Valves aligned with new valve cap felts and water key corks installed. Includes Vincent Bach 7C mouthpiece and original case. The case is clean, solid, and the latches work. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have before purchasing.
